Idaho?  You come from a state chock full of Kennedy's and you need to go to Idaho to find a drunk politician?  I think you have a blind spot.

That's right. We're only allowed to talk about Republicans from Massachusetts.

    In a national politics forum.

    Because......                 ?

Because, talking about Massachusetts republicans would be relevant, and talking about a republican from Utah would be irrelevant?

    did I get it right?

    No, you both completely whiffed.

See, the trouble is that this isn't the "local" politics forum.

    This is Politics:General.

Politicians from across the country, even from oversees, are regularly discussed here.

But actually, you both f**ked up in a second respect: Even if this forum was devoted to Massachusetts-only politicians, the fact that a Democrat in time once did something wrong would not immunize Republicans in the present from criticism.

Greg never seems to get this, but hey..... not my problem.

Well, at least this Crapo guy, who ever he is, didn't drink and drive off a bridge killing someone.  That seems to be a badge of honor is you are a democrat.

    True.

    Fortunately nobody made the comparison.

Except the people who are curiously obsessed with ressurecting Kennedy.

I m curious as to why you think Crapo is so important, having been accused of DUI, while kennedy is a proven killer, not an issue.

Is it just that the Democrats and the unions you work for in lockstep like the gansters you are?

Good point. I was a fool for putting any stock in the words of a guy who bragged on BDC that he used to be able to drink beer, smoke pot, and snort coke while driving.

The fool is the one who thought it was bragging

    So a confession? What?

Crapo's DUI is significant because of his reputation as being squeaky clean.  He said in the past that he doesn't drink because it violates the tenets of his Mormon Faith.  Kind of like being anti-abortion but then pressuring a mistress to have an abortion.  Or being anti-gay, but then soliciting for gay sex in the bathroom of a bus station.

beside driving while under the influence, the DUI makes him a hypocrite.

"Crapo's DUI is significant because of his reputation as being squeaky clean....the DUI makes him a hypocrite"

Love the idiotic 'logic' of progressives.  Their guffawing at "hypocrisy" is correct and a cheap laugh, but uncovers the deep dark truth about amoral Democrats.

    Ergo,

"Ted Kennedy's DUI and vehicular homicide is insignificant because of his reputation as being a sleazy drunken lout. Kennedy is no hypocrite, the voters should have known he was a Mass. Democrat and had no shame."

The progressives proudly proclaim that the libertine Democratic Party has no morals or standards, so anything goes, including their partners working as prostitutes (Frank) or offshore gambling (Tierney).....but at least they arent, gulp,  hypocrites!

Not sure of your point.  Is it that some dems are hypocrites therefore being a republican hypocrite is ok?  Crapo being a sinner means nothing to most dems because they wouldn't vote for him anyway.

Crapo holds himself up to be "better" than a Ted Kennedy. He has higher morals than Ted as evidenced by him not drinking because it goes against hs religion.  But the truth is he's a liar.  This wasnt a onetime thing, no one does shots of Vodka the first time they drink.  So not only is he a drunk, he's a fake who has been hiding behind a bible.  And who knows, may be if the cop doesn't pull crapo over, he gets into a car accident and kills someone.

tierney never took a moral stand against gambling.  Frank never took a moral stand against fornicating for money.  And Ted never took a moral stand against drinking or womanizing.

Since Crapo lied about drinking, then everything he says he stands for is up for questioning.

at the very least, Crapo is morally no better than the dems you named.  Either you think Crapo is morally corrupt or you don't think Tierney, Frank, or Ted did anything morally wrong.
