In response to StalkingButler's comment:
When you speak about "some on the american right", you literally sound as deluded and stupid as a Klan member speaking about black people.
No, I don't, because I don't say anything nearly as idiotic and vile as this about them:
Salvadore Allende was nothing but another tinhorn dictator, a professed admirer of Stalin. Another in a long line of power-hungry Communist thug murderers.
Allende was implementing socialist economic policies in Chile, with disastrous results. Gen. Pinochet finally agreed with other military officers that they had to stop Allende, and from that point on, Pinochet showed him no mercy.
The American Left per usual wants to rewrite history to claim Communism actually worked to the benefit of the people. It never does. The results of Marxist policies are always bloodshed, dictatorship, and economic collapse.
Pinochet was no angel, but he had far less blood on his hands than Allende, and Pinochet eventually brought back democracy and free enterprise to the people of Chile.
The pro-Communist media is filled with lackeys willing to lie and prostitute their souls either for career advancement or because they are true believers in the Communist faith. That they have been effective with their "atrocity propaganda"against Pinochet is testament to the enduring influence of the Communist idea amongst the world’s power elite. They have, so far, pulled off the Big Lie with regard to Pinochet except with Chilean people. The Communist, of course, approaches atrocity dialectically rather than fundamentally. They have no problem with atrocities when governments such as those of Castro, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot et al commit them, as these "struggles", they inform us, are for the "common good"as they liquidate tens of millions.
Saying"I know you are but what am I" doesn't make it so, Mr. Self-Thinker...
