    In this instance, President Obama only has a real problem if Mr. Romney makes any side deals as did Messrs. Reagan and Casey with the Iranian revolutionaries while President Carter was in office.

    For some strange reason, you seem to have a higher standard for this pres. Certainly a president that got us into 2 needless wars and played the Fiddle as our economy nosed dived is worse. Or maybe Hoover who did the exact opposite of what was needed to stem the fall out of the stock market crash of 29 and lead the way as the country plunged into the great depression. By the way, Hoover did what all of the wngnuts say Obama should have done - let the banks fail, balance the budget. And you say liberals are morons.

    Jmel's getting angry as if throwing around insults makes him right. According to Jmel, the housing bubble was a good thing. Pay no attention to the lack of regulatory oversight that led to industry abuses resulting the collapse of the banking system. But at least he admits the republicans controlled everything in Washington when the housing bubble occurred. Maybe it would help if he understood basic economics or would that interfere with his false sense of superiority. Someone should explain to him that being given authority to wage war is one thing. Using the authority is something else. It wasn't the Senate that ordered troops into Iraq. And it wasn't the senate that was in charge of managing the peace after Bush announced that the mission was accomplished.
