The Grand Old Liberal Party

Yes, the word liberal should go after old and before party.  Boehner and Graham are accusing the President of taking a nap while all breaks lose in Iraq. I remember on another site years ago, telling supporters of this war that this was the way it was going to end.

Never should have gone into Iraq.  Should have left it alone and let Sadam be in charge.  The 90 year old President Bush knew this, and this is why he took care of business in Kuwait and came home.  The liberal nation building republicans after Bush 41, wanted to  charge into Iraq and put some Starbucks up.  The liberal posters who claimed to be conservative, wanted to go in and save all the people and stop of the violence.  Well, 4,440 lives later and who knows how much money, it is worse than ever.

This is why Robert Gates said that any Sec of Defense who advises a President to wage war in this area, should have their head examined.

We should never have gone into Iraq. It was irresponsible. 4400 lives lost...and for what?  What is happening there now is proof that we should just stay out of the Middle East with boots on the ground.

Obama's role is not to keep soldiers out of harms way, but to secure our national interests.

example: our national interests were not well served with the stand down order concerning Bengazi, but our soldiers. Were out of harms way.

The role of our military is to protect us, largely by killing people and breaking things. It is inherently dangerous.  In doing so, they are constantly in harms way.  The president must use the military carefully, but keeping them out of harms way at all costs  is a liberal straw man, and a dangerous one.

What? Obama doesn't get credit for keeping US soldiers out of harm's way?  If we were still in Iraq, the American body count would be rising and all of the righties would be complaining about it.  We shouldn't have left Iraq because now it's dangerous, and we shouldn't have been in Behghazi because it's dangerous make up your minds.  Oh that's right - you just think whatever the pundits tell you to think - except for RR who makes it as he goes along.

Obama's role is not to keep soldiers out of harms way, but to secure our national interests.

example: our national interests were not well served with the stand down order concerning Bengazi, but our soldiers. Were out of harms way.
Not to keep our soldiers out of harms way?  What are you smoking tonight?  You realize some republicans with their cuts are also responsible for Bengazi.  You realize that Embassies get attacked under all administrations.
wasn't the attack it was (and still is) the disgusting lies and the cover up.
And, the cuts issue is BS. Obama and his followers NEVER have the stones to be responsible for the mess they have created. In their childish minds, it's still Bush's fault.

    That's the only solution?

Why do liberals think it is helpful to offer up that we shouldn't have gone in in the first place? What does that accomplish?

The mess was created by Bush, numbnuts. Then he went and said "Im passing this all on to the next president" in his usual cowardly manner. So Obama got Osama and is ending the war. Stop trying to blame Obama for something he didn't do but yet YOU voted for. Obama is trying to clean up your big fat mess.
