Wherever possible, President Obama should direct as many of these cuts to Republican Congressional districts. Republicans are the ones who want cuts, so give them cuts. He should cut weapons programs in GOP districts and close military bases in them. Let GOP districts bear the pain that their representatives are inflicting by refusing to compromise.

If the GOP wants to shrink the size of government, let them bear the consequences.

GOPers always seem to support active military endeavors (and hyperbolic ones) while giving short shrift to the veterans once they're beyond service.

    Why is anyone's guess.

Even the active ones get lumped in with the 'takers'.

In response to NO MO O's comment:

The working class of American people want cuts.

Those on the dole don't. They prefer the working take more tax hits to support them.

So, active military are "on the dole" in your and CLC's views...

...the dreaded "public sector" and their cushy jobs and bennies.

Define your term "working class of americans".

    I work.  Do you?
