In response to StalkingButler's comment:

Sister, during the run up to the passage of the ACA Republicans in the House asked the President to accept their input to which the President famously replied "I won." Meaning, of course, that he had won his election, had a majority in the House and Senate, and didn't need or want their input.

The ACA went on to be passed without any Republican votes albeit with a great deal of Democrat arm twisting and bribery.

Is it any wonder that the House Republicans, having been snubbed during the inception of the law, have absolutely no stake in getting it implemented?

This isn't about R vs D anymore, this is basic human nature. President Obama failed to build a bi-partisan coalition to support his signature legislation and now he's paying the price. You can call the Republicans terrorists (really?) all you want but the failure lies in the leadership of the President himself. You need not look any further than that.

wait a minute the ACA is modeled after Romney's Massachusetts Health Care Law ..... Obama also had help from a few of Romney's healthcare advisers while they crafted the ACA ..... sounds pretty bipartisan to me ....

You and I can disagree with Obama's policies but he's showing a lot of sound judgement and good leadership on all fronts.

As for your statement of who was controlling the House and Senate during the inception of the ACA ....  the Democrats were .....  now you have the GOP controlling the House,  excluding any Democratic ideas but instead pushing the right wing agenda which majority of reasonable Americans voted against.

Actually, to be fair, Sister posted he was under the impression that their were a lot of GOP PROPOSALS in Obamacare/ He did not post that any Republicans VOTED for Obamacare. As for GOP input, we all know that Obamacare started in the American Heritage Foundation...a Republican think tank.

There may have been ideas included in the bill that originated with "Republicans" but there was absolutely nothing from the Republican minority in the House at the time. That's like saying that the Bush tax cuts were modeled after those of President Kennedy who also cut taxes in order to stimulate the economy. That's would hardly carry any weight with todays Democrats.
When Obama first came to office he often reached across the aisle. But, you have to have the other side reach back to achieve bipartisanship. That never happened.
I'm not aware of it ever happening. See my little anecdote above.
One of the key provisions many who elected Obama wanted was a single-payer option. Obama did not even put up a good fight on that provision. That was major compromise. Many called it caving to the Republicans...and still do.
It was a concession to blue dog Democrats who were quite recalcitrant in their support for the bill. Indeed, most of the trouble that they actually had in passing the bill was in getting these people on board. Remember the "Louisiana purchase" where Mary Landrieu got 4.3 billion in federal medicare funds for her state in exchange for her vote?
If Obamacare is so bad, the GOP should let it go forward and let it cave in on itself without holding the government hostage.
If you truly believed that Obamacare was a bad and damaging law is that what your strategy would be?
What we do know is a partial or full shutdown of the government is going to cost a lot of money. Those numbers have been posted by myself and others in numerous places.
The bill passed by the House will fund the Federal government, just not Obamacare. So, again, why doesn't Obama want to avert a shutdown and fund the government?

Due respect, SB, but how much more do you want to justify why the GOP should back off from its current path in the House?

    Andie,

You should probably know that I don't read anythng by ACC, it's generally pointless and useless.

Regarding the amendments added to Obamacare by Republicans.... Sure, the Democrats picked some things to add to the bill but that certainly doesn't mean that there was any give and take or any negotiation, they just added a few things that they liked.

Like the legislation or not, the fact is that the bill was rammed through the house and senate with very little time for anyone to read the bill, much less understand it. The end result is such a pile of bad law that it should be scrapped wholesale.

To specifically answer your question, I want the conservatives in the House to do what they were elected to do and I expect nothing less from them.

Heh, heh, heh... funny how even the wingnuts are making terrorists comparisons.

Rep. John Culberson of Texas essentially compared the fight against Obamacare to the tackling of 9/11 attackers by passengers on flight United 93. ” I said, like 9/11, ‘Let’s roll!’ ” Culberson shouted as he and his colleagues clamored for a vote. “Let’s roll!” was of course the famous rallying cry uttered by United 93 passenger Todd Beamer.

Culberson, adding some extra hyperbolic metaphor and grandiosity for good measure, compared his lack of concern for the Senate’s inevitable rejection of the bill to Ulysses S. Grant storied disregard for the Confederate forces’ strategy: “Ulysses S. Grant used to say, ‘Boys, quit worrying about what Bobby Lee is doing. I want to know what we are doing.’ And that’s what the House is doing today, thank God,” he said.

Re: THEY DID IT; THE GOP PASSED LEGISLATION IMPOSING A ONE-YEAR DELAY ON OBAMACARE

The Republican partiers have decided that they do not like either democracy (one of their greatest ongoing efforts is to try to keep thousands from voting and to take the value out of thousands of other voters by extremist gerrymandering - a strategy used by all parties that should be made illegal for any party) and they do not like the American republican form of representation as they want to use mafia and terrorist tactics to make and change law rather than voting.

If the Republicans and the mindless Tea Party reality deniers liked AMerica they would be having an OPEN vote in the HOUSE of REPRESENTATIVES. But Bohner Tea Party terrorists do not let open votes take place. BUt they do say "meet our demands or else..." and they say it so easily you get the idea that they are really are terrorists.

It is pretty funny reading the amazingly mindless parroting done by a core group of lame political terrorists here. Somewhat entertaining though it reflects how they are willing to hurt America.
