Sounds eerily similar to the neo-con stated position to profile all Muslims in the US based on nothing more than their religious affiliation.

    If only.

In Wisconsin, Sikhs were targeted for violence merely because they looked like muslims (at least to people who don't know their turbans from their keffiyehs...or one end of asia to the other).

I agree however, we should not ignore the fact that the largest threat to muslims is other muslims.

    see syria for an example.

Every day spent on Benghazi and the IRS is another day lost for the American public, especially for the unemployed.  Our congressional representatives are evidently incapable of multi-tasking.

And rest assured that the folks at Fox and other such right-wing champions of keeping america stupid will continue to focus on these silly issues in their editorial pages and op/ed pieces while devoting their news pages to celebrities and other such wastes of space.

Except from what we know that it wasn't "driven from the top" in spite of what you "beleive" or other silliness.

Any attempt to make more of it is pure desperation.

Is that the Mattyscorn t(r)oll bridge?

You can measure how the left really falls on an issue by how vociferous the reply.  I'll give the IRS thing about a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10.  Benghazi is a 10.

The only thing "vociferous" here is your screaming detachment from reality.

Right.  And government employees take initiaive to do stuff like this all on their own.

    Talk about detachment from reality.

    Proportionately partisan ones certainly might.

Either way, the idea that it came from the top of the executive branch is far more ludicrous relative to your blanket indictment of all govt workers, much less the hundred thousand or so who work for the IRS.

I wouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusions.  Looks like D.C. is being included in the list of IRS locations "in the know".

But, I understand why you are presenting the point of view that you are.  oyu are more comfortable with the certainty of tyranny than the uncertainty of freedom.

The liberal brain is only able to hold the identiy of two presidents at any given time in their brains.  Currently, it is Bush and Obama.   Bush is the stupid, inept president that somehow was personally responsible for everything on his watch, and has become the gold standard for what is acceptable. Obama is the brainaic, who somehow is not responsible for anything, and therefore is the gold standard for nothing.

You assume too much and get it totally wrong, as usual.

YOU are the one trumpeting wild, unsupported theories of tyranny and sinestra, not me.

And as you've proven, freedom also means the freedom to 'jump to conclusions' whenever it fancies and for next to no reasoning or logic whatsoever.

Who could have predicted this headline:

Carney Blames Bush Admin For IRS Audit Scandal

That is one way to read it, and if that is what was intended you would be correct to laugh.

Here's the actual text, as opposed to the blogger's headline:

JAY CARNEY: Two things need to be noted; which is the IRS is an independent enforcement agency. Which I believe, as I understand it contains only two political appointees within it. The individual who was running the IRS at the time was actually an appointee from the previous administration. But separate from that there is no question that if this activity took place its inappropriate and there needs to be action taken. The president would expect that it be thoroughly investigated

This doesn't sound like "blame bush". It sounds like: "you can't assume this was a top-down decision because look - one of the appointees is from the Bush era, and a Bush appointee wouldn't want to go after those people."

"The individual who was running the IRS at the time was actually an appointee from the previous administration. "

Sounds like a Blame-Bush moment to me.

What's the story here?  A group running around carrying "taxes are for suckers" signs are being targeted by the IRS?

My '84 corolla with the peace sign, "legalize it" bumper sticker, garbage bag for a window,  Bob Marley painted on the hood and Calvin peeing on a cop gets pulled over by the police more often than my wife's 2012 BMW.  Anybody have Darrell Issa's phone number?
