In Response to Re: Trayvon-Zimmerman:
[QUOTE]UPDATE: A single gunshot wound to the chest fired at "intermediate range" killed Trayvon Martin, according to an autopsy report submitted to the court. NBC News reviewed the document on Wednesday. The medical examiner in Volusia County, Fla. also noted one small, fresh cut on Martin's left ring finger below the knuckle. The report is apparently one of several documents leaking to the media from the pile of evidence related to the second-degree murder charges Zimmerman faces for Martin's shooting death. On Wednesday, a medical report prepared by Zimmerman's family doctor was reviewed by ABC News, indicating that Zimmerman had a broken nose, two black eyes, and cuts on the back of his head the day after he shot and killed Trayvon Martin. The list of evidence was disclosed to the defense (and the public) in a summary released Wednesday. According to NBC, the rest of the evidence is expected to go public soon. http://slatest.slate.com/posts/2012/05/16/george_zimmerman_medical_report_details_injuries_after_confrontation_with_trayvon_martin.html

Zimmermans injuries seem to match his claim of self defense and the report of a man in a hoodie hitting someone on the ground.
So the questions should be:
Is Zimmerman guilty because he pursued and made Trayvon mad, who then tried to unfortunately rough up a guy with a gun?
Is it agains law to follow someone you think is suspicious? Most likely not but was it stupid, yes he acted stupidly which lead to the confrontation, but was Trayvon justified in assualting Zimmerman. You generally don't charge and or assault someone with a gun. But two things are certain; Trayvon did assault Zimmerman based on the injuries (Zimmerman's head adn Trayvon's knuckles) and Trayvon was shot at close range well within the immediate threat zone.
Did Zimmerman use the gun as he was getting beat on in defense?
Did Zimmeram use the gun to retaliate after Trayvon was done roughing him up?
The close proximity of the shot makes this difficult to determine.
I think its a very unfortuate chain of events; that played out do to real and preceived threats that both felt. Bottomline is that Zimmerman should have stayed in his car but did he have the duty to stay iin his car?

There's a new low in the highly charged Trayvon Martin case. According to a report from Florida TV news station WKMG, an unidentified entrepreneur aimed to profit by selling paper gun targets depicting the unarmed teenager slain in February. The targets, which were advertised for sale online until Friday, feature a hoodie with crosshairs over the chest—the place where George Zimmerman shot Martin at point-blank range. While there's plain black in lieu of Martin's face, tucked into the hoodie's arm are a bag of Skittles and can of iced tea like the kind Martin was carrying on that fateful night.

UPDATE: The slow trickle of new info on the Trayvon Martin murder case turned into a flood Thursday afternoon when Florida prosecutors turned over a mountain of court documents, videos and photographs to media outlets large and small.
There are 67 CDs worth of evidence, including photos from the scene, so it will probably take some time for reporters to finish sorting through it all. But in the meantime, here are the early takeaways that will likely have people talking.
1) "Avoidable" - Local police believed that the encounter between George Zimmerman and Martin could have been avoided if the 28-year-old neighborhood watch volunteer would have heeded the 911 dispatcher's advice and stayed put, or simply identified himself to Martin at the outset.
NPR flags the section in question: "The encounter between George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin was ultimately avoidable by Zimmerman, if Zimmerman had remained in his vehicle and awaited the arrival of law enforcement, or conversely if he had identified himself to Martin as a concerned citizen and initiated dialog in an effort to dispel each party's concern," the investigators wrote. Read more over at NPR.
2) Drugs - Medical examiners discovered that Martin had drugs in his system at the time of the shooting. From ABC News: "The autopsy report shows traces of the drug THC, which is found in marijuana, in Martin's blood and urine." Read more over at ABC News, and check out a .pdf of the autopsy report here (via CNN).
3) Crime-scene photo - The trove of evidence includes a photo of Zimmerman with a bloody nose on the night that Martin was shot and killed. A report from emergency personnel also said that the 28-year-old had a 1-inch laceration on his head, along with an abrasion on his forehead. From the Associated Press: "'Bleeding tenderness to his nose, and a small laceration to the back of his head. All injuries have minor bleeding,' paramedic Michael Brandy wrote about Zimmerman’s injuries in the report."
5) What's missing - The Miami Herald: "[I]ncluded are cell phone records for Zimmerman, Trayvon Martin, and the girl Trayvon chatted with in the moments before his death. ... Not included: [Zimmerman's] three statements to police or the video-taped reenactment he did for detectives the day after he killed Trayvon. Under Florida law, confessions are exempt from public records laws." Read more over at the Herald.

Last weekend in the city of Chicago alone, gangbangers slaughtered ten people and wounded another forty. The youngest fatality is only six years old. The youngest person wounded is only one-year-old. Many of the victim were pedestrians sprayed with bullets in drive by shootings. The national news has said nothing about this.
So why does one shooting in Florida warrant weeks of national news? Why has there been thousands of articles a day, for the last four days, about one single shooting?
Almost all of the news items about George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin contains a combination of false statements, opinions presented as facts, transparent distortions, and a complete absence of some of the most relevant details. Almost all news items are written soley from the point of view of the grieving family. The media also fills their articles with outdated baby-faced pictures of Trayvon. Very few include that he was a towering 6'2” football player. Is the media really reporting the news, or is this classic agitation/propaganda to advance a political agenda.
Literally thousands of articles contain at least one false statement in the first couple of lines. They usually read "George ZImmerman, a white man," or "shoot by a white man." Zimmerman is described by family as a multiracial Hispanic. His appearance is clearly that of a Latino/Mestizo individual. However, the media wants him to be white because that better fits the political narrative they are trying to artificially create. Many news articles have also claimed the neighborhood is "mostly white." This is also a lie. The neighborhood is only 49% white. It is over half non-white.
All the way back on February 27th, the local Orlando Fox station interviewed the witness who dialed 911. Almost none of the thousands of articles since have mentioned any of the details described by the witness. Some, however, have attributed false statements to this witness. On March 16th, the Sanford police department released new details to the Orlando Sentinel. Once again, these details have been ignored or changed by the media.
The neighborhood this took place in has seen a lot of crime. Would you be surprised to learn that there were eight burglaries, nine thefts, and a shooting just in the past year? In fact, the local homeowners' association reports that George Zimmerman actually caught one thief and aided in the apprehension of other criminals. The Miami Herald wrote about this on March 17th. None of the thousands of articles and cable news segments that came after, thought this was important.
In fact the Miami Herald goes on to interview neighbor, Ibrahim Rashada, who is black. Rashada confirms that there has been a lot of crime in the neighborhood and indicates to the reporter that the perpetrators are usually black.
The media also characterizes Trayvon as a "model student." In fact, he under a five day suspension when the shooting took place. That is why he was staying at a house so far from his school on a school night. A laywer for Trayvon's family has blocked access to his school records. However, you have to do something pretty bad to get suspended for five days.
Now that you know the suppressed facts of the case, you can for form a better more balanced opinion. Maybe you still think Zimmerman was wrong to pull the trigger. However, I think you will come to the conclusion that the "mainstream" clearly is pushing an agenda. Even when they have to grossly alter and adjust a story to fit that agenda.

Eyewitness: Martin was on top of Zimmerman punching him MMA style
Eyewitness: Zimmerman was screaming for help
We can all agree that if, Martin would not have confronted him non of this would have happened.
We can all agree that Zimmerman was volunteering to the community to try and stop burgularies and crime.
They hired community volunteers because the Police were ineffective at stopping the burgularies and crime.
It appears to me that Zimmerman and the community were tired of the crime and the pilce were not able to help.
It appears that Zimmerman questioned Martin and was attacked and beaten.
We can argue at what point it's self defense to shot someone attacking you I guess.
If I have a broken nose and lacerations to the back of my head from an attacked is that sufficient reason to think my life may be in danger??
