    Unemployment rate rises to 9%

Gallup reports that the u-3 unemployment rate has risen to 9%, and the u-6 rate to 19%

It seems that once we got out of the Christmas shopping season, unemployment has reverted to this rate based on the lackluster economic plan of Obama.

No offense, but Gallup is a polling organization.  The Dept. of Labor is the source for the unemployment rate.  Not that 8.3 is a good number.

Home foreclosures are escalating and while the economy is not continuing to falter it's improvement (if, any) is tedious and extremely unimpressive!

"Gallup's mid-month unemployment reading, based on the 30 days ending Feb. 15, serves as a preliminary estimate of the U.S. government report, and suggests the Bureau of Labor Statistics will likely report on the first Friday of March that its seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased in February."

Look, the government is lying to us about the unemployment rate.  Gallup basically does the same work, does the same analysis, and predicts what the government number will be.  Could it be wrong?  sure.  But looking at the report, they have been spot on for years.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Unemployment rate rises to 9% : Shhh, the whacko wingnuts are so far out in the wilderness over their trampling of women's rights that they need a bit of "good news". Of course it's good news for the wingnuts because they'll try and use it against Obama at the expense of the entire country.

Moving the goals posts?  I guess it is too much for you to actually stick to the subject and be truthful.

Seems like the left is running from the Obama economic miracle.

The latest polls also indicate that 99.9% of statistics are virtually useless.
You can't even trust baseball stats anymore. If you went by stats than J.D. Drew actually looked like a half-decent player.

There are a million ways to spin stats to depict what want, and politicians are good at it.
