Union disrupts Thanksgiving travel for millions. Why?

What exactly is SEIU protesting for? They say that an airport contract is breaking the city law on living wages – which, of course, is nonsense, since that would be prosecutable. They also say that the contractor has eliminated “affordable healthcare” for over 400 workers. Which is, again, bull. After all, can’t the SEIU just rely on Obamacare? Oh wait maybe they got a waiver??

tvoter the race to the bottom is over . The results of the recent election show that  a majority of Americans are fed up with slashed wages and employees benefits.

The election is over but, elections do not silence opposition in free societies my friend!

If, the majority of Americans were truly fed up with slashed wages and employee benefits why did they vote for the guy who was in charge the last 4 years while wages and benefits have been slashed??

oh wait it wasnt his fault, oh yea!

This is a sign that we are two Americas:  Those associated with government, and those who pay for it.

When the government employees interfere with lawful actions of the people it is supposed to serve, we have a problem.

Why did more Americans vote for Obama than Romney ? That's easy ..... Obama cares more about people like me and my family !

BTW why do you think romney lost ?

Those they believe the govt can and will provide for them are growing in numbers.

Once they figure it's not sustainable and the govt has to start cutting all these things (things they think they are entitled to by this point) then they will be rioting in the streets and turning on the govt.

    anarchy will reign!!

The dems were better at getting out the vote!

This country is almost equally divided between those that want less govt and those that want more. That is why elections are not really about issues and ideology any more they are about not making a collosal mistake and getting the vote out!!

I have witness 14 POTUS election and seen TWO incumbents lose - one dem, one GOP.

Congress didn't budge, and with only 18 governorships, I might tone down the great mandate jive.

    Bingo!

They lost 10-15 pts of the women vote on the hot button issues (war on women) on principle not over tax policy.  Ths amounts to 5 to 7 pts on the election

They lost 20-35 pts of hispanic/latino vote over immigration rhetoric to appeal to diminishingbase of the GOP.  Hispanics/Latinos are more conservative then the Dem platform.

This amounts to 5 to 7 pts on the election

The majority of Americans do support the GOP core value of private enterprise, reward for results and a smaller federal government, unless you are a government union worker.

I think Republicans lost because facts are much easier to look up nowadays than they were in the past.  It makes it easier to tell who is lying.

For example, when a Republican leader claims they are the party of "small government" or their policies create more jobs, or their party is more responsible with budgets and debt its easy to look up and see the records for yourself.

massmoderate if it was true that a majority of Americans supported the GOP core beliefs romney would be President .

As for Government Unions a majority of Americans do favor barganing rights for Public Unions . So you my friend are in the minority.
