In Response to Re: Wall Street Journal Article Exposes GOP Hypocrisy : LOL, yea no risk to those of us who opposed the $800 BILLION TARP bailout/handout of MY tax dollars... THAT there is funny no matter what horse you rode in on!

By the wingnuts opposing the stimulus but taking the money they get two things:
(Im)plausible deniability if it fails. They will say it's on the dems because they voted for it.
If it works they can point to the projects it created in their districts as bringing home the bacon.

Either way they take credit or throw blame depending on to whom they're speaking. No risk, all reward and purely socialism.

In Response to Re: Wall Street Journal Article Exposes GOP Hypocrisy : Sooooooooooo wingnuts want to have it both ways. They rail against "the socialist way" but then turn around and campaign on how the "wasteful spending spree" is helping their districts. Their mouth says 'no' but their hands say 'yes'. Ya that's not hypocritical.

BOTH sides do this. To say otherwise is a lie. Come on Angry you're better than that. Should the Reps be spiteful and not help their constituents? It is possible to be against something but then once it passes and the money is there they'd be foolish not to get it for the people they represent.
It's similar to voting against the war. Once we committed to war should those who voted against the war also vote against funding it? After all they were against the war so by your logic they should be against anything to do with the war.
Not everything is so black and white

         12,

I think you've hit on something................
The reason that the wingnuts are so paranoid, delusional and can't put forth a cogent argument is because they've been smoking too much of the cogongrass........
Must be some good shite! I'm glad they got Fed funding to eradicate this menace.

It's one thing to 'help their constituents' quite another to slur the people who provided that help.
If they want to get money for their districts they should tell them that the funding is a direct result of the Obama and the Dems passing the stimulus.
As you say, if they take the money then they shouldn't use the issue to bash the Dems as socialists. Once you take the money you're just as cupable as if you voted for the bill.

    You're probably right.
I just can't think of such a blatant example in recent memory from either side.

What important now is that the DATA JOB in DC,confirmed that the stimulus bill is indeed working..Many jobs were created..Bam's quick passing of the stimulus bill just saved us from another depression, even Bill gates gave the President and his team a thumbs up!!Hurray.
The 12 stinking republican hypocrites, who rejected it and seeking it beyond closed doors were exposed with their hypocrisy and I can say this time to Joe bad manners Wilson..it's my turn to yell at him"""joe you lied twice"you elbowed your way to the money you first rejected"how about that huh?Liar.

Here's a radical idea: let's put aside all the name-calling and criticisms back and forth, and try something not-so-new: a true bipartisan effort by both sides to address the deficit, the economy and health-care reform. For even just a day, can we stop calling one another wingnuts and moonbats, and remember that, whatever our political perspectives, we all share a love of this country and want what is best for it? Or is that too much to expect, and too naive to hope for?

The GOP and Dems are two sides of the same coin.  Conservative policies hold the key to solving our economic crisis.  More dependence on these two parties simply means more focus on Washington as the solution.  What Washington needsto do is stop taking so much of our money, stop spending, and otherwise, get out of the way.

Really? Did he? Who started the stimulus ball rolling? Don't go claiming Obama came up with a brilliant idea all on his own. He used a tool that was available.

In Response to Re: Wall Street Journal Article Exposes GOP Hypocrisy : The Dems did all the work on this, they wrote the bill, they voted yes and they had to sell it to the people. Now they wingnuts, who fought every aspect of this want to come in and demand a portion of the work the Dems did. Posted by 12angrymen

    12,

Yes the Dems did the work and decided how much of our money was going to be spent (creating a deficit).  But once the damage (stimulus budget decided) has been done, the wingnuts as you call them were more than entiitled to ensure their constituents got some of their money back.  If you are going to pay for something you should at least get something out of it, even if you didn't need it.
To think that one group is going to pay and the other to get all the benefit, is the viewpoint of socialist redistributing the wealth.
