Oh, you mean Ruth Bader Ginsburg's best and most respected friend.  Scalia was confirmed UNANIMOUSLY!!!  So, how has it haunted all the democrats who confirmed.  Are John Kerry and Joe Biden dead?

Here's a wager:  Will Governor Patrick do the same thing he did last time, and promise his interim appointment (you know, the one because of evil and slimy democrats who sck cheese through catheters) will not run in the election.

Greg..he won't do the same thing.  It was my understanding that he was honoring a request by Kennedy that he pick an interim who would not run for the seat. In other words a one shot deal.

And thus raises that ugly precedent the democrats have established as status quo.

Executive power is determined by the PARTY of the executive.

    The stench is abominable

Unfortunately it is likely going to be the status quo going forward. I thought actually..that it was a bit of karma that Brown was ultimately elected to fill the seat.  I would like to think it tought the dems on Beacon Hill a lesson not to mess with the people.
