Well at least there's one instance where the gop-er is feeling the effects of a shutdown.

They and their supporters may be lying swine, but I wouldn't compare them to the KKK.

    Don't sink to their level.

Re: Well at least there's one instance where the gop-er is feeling the effects of a shutdown.

    Here's a more fair example:

PHOENIX — Train trips from Northern Arizona to Grand Canyon National Park have been canceled. Rafting expeditions along the Colorado River have been suspended. Hotels have relaxed refund policies for travelers who have booked rooms near one of the 24 national parks in the state that were closed on Tuesday.

Tourists spend on average $2.7 million a day at the national parks in Arizona each October, almost half of it at the Grand Canyon, according to an analysis of Park Service statistics by the National Parks Conservation Association. There are entire communities whose hotels, restaurants and tour companies rely heavily on the visitors to survive.

Tusayan, which borders the south entrance to Grand Canyon National Park, gets 80 percent of its revenue from the sales taxes paid on lodging and food, said Will Wright, the town manager.

At Tusayan’s Best Western hotel, managed by Mayor Greg Bryan, cancellations came in all morning, he said, as did questions.

Many of the guests are from overseas, and a majority of them “do not understand what’s going on,” Mr. Bryan said.

Kristen Jarnagin, a senior vice president at the Arizona Lodging and Tourism Association, said that about 37 million tourists visit Arizona each year, and that the Grand Canyon is the destination for about 10 percent of them.

“When our top attraction is closed,” Ms. Jarnagin said, “there’s an impact on immediate tourism, on future and potential tourism, but, more importantly, on our image.”

Calling all Republicans and conservatives  "lying swine" is definitely your very best effort at bipartisanship.. thanks for the heroic effort.

Everyone who blames Obama and/or the Dems for the shutdown is lying swine.

I'm not trying to pretend to be bipartisan with false equivalences. I'm telling it like it is. I am disgusting by the lying swine in the GOP, and the lying swine defending them here.

They, including yourself, merely aren't as evil as the KKK.

At the end of the day, it simply reveals that the TP-GOP and their BDC sycophants hate Dems so much that it doesn't matter what the GOP does to fight Dems, as long as they're fighting them. And Dems are so very evil that no matter what the GOP does to fight the Dems, it's still the Dems fault, because the Dems made the GOP fight them.

That's the argument we keep seeing, right? Though of course they aren't honest enough to admit it.

It's all "but Obama's MAKING us do this because he won't repeal or defund Obamacare, so we HAVE to. It's not OUR fault. It's HIS....

....(for not running as a Republican I suppose?)."

KKK Rally At Gettysburg Military Park Canceled Due To Gov't Shutdown

A planned Ku Klux Klan gathering in Gettysburg, Pa. was canceled due to the government shutdown, Philadelphia's WCAU reported Tuesday.

A Maryland-based KKK group was approved to hold a rally on Saturday at Gettysburg National Military Park, according to WCAU. Park officials told the news station that the rally won't happen because they revoked all permits for special events when the shutdown began Tuesday.

The KKK was planning a tribute to a fellow Grand Kleagle, a Senate Democratic leader of this Century, Robert Byrd....

From the 1870s to the 1980s or so, the KKK and the Democratic Party were like peas and carrots....

And all that changed with the wingnut outreach program of the Southern Strategy.

Of course the success of that same outreach program has, by default, barred any inclusion of minorities into the same party really isn't of any concern to the hardline gop-ers. They are just happy their Southern Strategy worked.

    You are wrong, as usual.

The South was trending Republican as far back as in the 1950s. The smug self satisfied braindead progressive like yourself,  just buys into the myth that the Civil Rights Act resulted in all racists instantly leaving the Dems over to the GOP when LBJ signed the Civil Rights Acts...

And you also believe the South is unchanged from the 1950s. Funny, blacks like everyone else are leaving the urban hellholes of Democratic rule and moving South for good jobs.
