What will be the Ramifications of the MH17 Tragedy

As the days go by, proof is mounting that Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 was shot down by a surface to air missile..and it's looking more likely by the day that the Russians were behind said missile.

Immediately after the tragedy, Darth Vader himself..in the form of Vladimir Putin denounced the act and blamed the Ukranians. As evidence mounts that it was indeed his own rebel forces...there has been silence from Moscow and the Putin regime.

Sadly..this isn't the first time Russia has been behind the "accidental" downing of a passenger Airline.  The last time was back in 1983.

What will the ramifications be this time? Someone suggested yesterday on the news that the global community come together and suspend the landing rights of any Russian based passenger plane. Others have suggested stronger sanctions.

It's hard to believe how far Putin has fallen in the few short months since hosting the Winter Olympics.

Ramifications? No doubt he can expect a strongly worded letter from the UN.

"How far Putin has fallen in the few short months"?  Huh?

Putin at the time of the Olympics was a regular sweetheart, was he?

So that means Obama was 100% correct to mock Mitt Romey's statement that Russia was our #1 geopolitical threat, since at that time of the 2012 debates Putin was a cool guy...

"The 1980s called and wants their foreign policy back...The Cold War is over" mocked the clever President...

The ramifications of MH17 are still far from being known as the world cannot even retrieve the dead with different factions blaming each other.

However, my nomination for lack of sensitivity goes to Singapore Airlines.

Hours after the Boeing 777-200 passenger jet with 298 people on board went down on Thursday, believed shot by a surface-to-air missile, SIA posted a one-line statement on Facebook and Twitter.

It read: "Customers may wish to note that Singapore Airlines flights are not using Ukraine airspace".

    SIA has since apologized.

    Super.

Wait...why the assumption that this is Obama's issue to fix? I don't know about you..but I am tired of the US being the world's police . It's time for Europe to step up and condemn Putin and take meaningful action.
