Conservatives think Colberts funny? Then why do conservatives jump on SNL when SNL is making fun of conservatives as well? Or maybe, do conservatives not know Colbert is making fun of them?
I don't think they do. It is just most of the time, SNL just isn't funny.
You seem caught in the "Duck Dynasty" trap. Liberals think the show is about poking fun at backwater rednecks from a position of superiority. Conservatives think the show is about the benefit of having good values.
With Colbert, he doesn't take himself too seriously. SNL still thinks they are "relevant" in their put downs of conservatives.
That's the difference.
