"Climategate" was no gate, so the last sentence is false no matter how much you repeat it.

Our government funds general research that has been extremely beneficial to America in the long run. It does so because there is no immediate commercial value - the value comes later as the basic research leads to further research, and so on.

A blind "follow the money" claim is foolish.

Scientists seeking NSA/NIH grants are nothing like scientists hired by tobacco companies to say cigarettes are awesome.

lol oh ok; govt always honest and good; business greedy and bad.

    ;-) gotcha!

    Science is based on facts.

Politics is based on lies and exaggeration.

    The two don't mix well.

Science is also based on theories.

Well...sort of....but the premise of science is to prove or disprove theories with fact. Science is good at separating theories from fact. Too bad politicians were not as good.

Zzzzzzzzz,  Tired old BS.  You know like, religion is at odds with science, unless of course you consider that the Big Bang Theory came from a Catholic priest.

Evolution is a miracle.  That one usually chokes the BS out them with a humina, humina, humina.
