Why Is The Conservative Media Ignoring The Shutdown?

Barely a mention on The Weekly Standard, National Review or Daily Caller.

    Weird, huh?

Or maybe they're reading the polls and realizing how unpopular this grand strategy really is.

Instead, they still seem obsessed with the ACA and Obama.  Go figure.

(Not much on the first part of the IPCC report either, which is riveting stuff, btw.  Basically, there's a 95% probability of man-induced climate change.)

Ignoring and barely mentioning are not the same thing. I mention this because it seems you don't get that. Sorry, just going by your thread title and your post.

Btw...all three as well as FOX have articles that mention the shutdown. Anywho....

How many articles would you be happy to see on these sites that would get you all warm and fuzzy that they are paying "enough attention"?

    Riveting stuff alright, for leftwingers....LOL
Last time they said 90% chance...and since then, none of what they predicted with their previous computer models came true...they have 'decided' the reason was,  all the missing global warming is hiding in the ocean!

So heck yeah, now make it a 95% chance...just keep those crooked failed green energy firm subsidies coming...

    OK.  I'll stand corrected, then.

I'm sure that if I looked, I wouldn't be able to find one single CLC article frothing about how the "liberal MSM" isn't paying attention to some issue CLC deems important.

Could I see one of those?

The sobbiest story simply listed a few things that were getting shut down, ie, arizona national parks...

    Front and center on CNN

The GOP action has shutdown the beloved Panda Cam.

    THE GIANT PANDA CAM

Sponsored by Ford Motor Company Fund

Now if the truth be known; it's a stationary web cam that operates unmanned.  Someone actually had to turn it off vs. just letting it run, and as I clipped from the website its sponsored by Ford.  So no cost to US to let it run but they spent the effort to turn it off.

So I'd say it was an Obama Administration manufactured negative impact.

Just like closing the National Mall which is monitored by HSA security cameras, HSA is essential but they decided to spend the effort to wall off the WWII Memorial just another manufactured negative impact.

    1. I was taking issue with CLC's complaint that the MSM is reporting on this as "were all gonna die," so your response doesn't match up.

    2. So now you are saying not only that it is the Democrats fault that the GOP is fighting them by forcing a shut down....

....that therefore Democrats have a personal responsibility to minimize the pain deliberately caused by the GOP in order to for Democrats to repeal their own legislation?

This is insanity. Is anything the GOP's fault?

Yes, they equally own the shutdown.  But at some point compromise needs to happen.  ACA was voted in through a series of parliamentary games.  This is a parliamentary game; if the Dems keep saying no; then they are the party of no.  All the GOP wanted to do on the last CR was to delay ACA mandate for everyone eqaully; but the Dems only want their friends to get special deals.

The sobbiest story simply listed a few things that were getting shut down, ie, arizona national parks...

    newsbusters:

All three networks on Tuesday morning hyped the partial government shutdown with reports from closed museums in Washington D.C. and live shots of the Statue of Liberty. The journalists of ABC's Good Morning America informed Americans that Republicans would probably "blink first" in the stand-off with the White House and congressional Democrats.

NBC's Peter Alexander checked in live from Washington, touting the "4200 workers at the Smithsonian museums and the National Zoo." He narrated, "We're now here in front of the National Air and Space Museum. They tell me last week they had 88,000 visitors come here. Today it'll be zero, the door's are locked." Alexander added, "And there's a very simple message posted

Alexander relayed numerous sad stories: "Near Boston, Fred Barta is packing his bags for a dream vacation with his girlfriend. A retirement trip he's been mapping out for years. Two weeks, four states, and at least five national parks and monuments. From the Grand Canyon to Zion. All of them, now closed."

Over on Good Morning America, the ABC program featured less coverage. Co-host [and partisan Dem hack]  George Stephanopoulos asserted that all the negotiating have "all added up to nothing. No deal. No relief. More stalemate."

Correspondent Jeff Zeleny [former NY Times progressive] predicted Democratic victory: "I'm seeing some cracks among the Republican armor...So, if anyone's going to blink first, most people think it will be Republicans. The question, of course, is when?"

Basic point you miss is The Weekly Standard, National Review and Daily Caller are identifiable and unabashed conservative opinion sites.

Unlike about all the major news networks and major newspapers which are supposedly "objective" but spin radically Left...
