Again, for the millionth time, no one here has to prove Warren's a native American.  she needs to prove it, she made the claim.

Why would Ryan tell the world that he ran a marathon in the 2:50s when he ran one in 4:01?   I'm sure that the last republican VP candidate having run a marathon faster the Ryan may have played in to it, but there has to be more to it.

It makes no sense to lie unless he's a compulsive liar and can't help himself.  Of course that would be consident with all the other lies he's been telling everyone.

Isn't lying about your Marathon time considered pretty low in the running world?

It is probably not as bad as lying about creating 4 million jobs when the ACTUAL number is a pathetic 300,000

We all understand that in Jamal-land what's up is down.

According to BLS (yes, I understand that BLS is a federal Agency and subject to all of your wacko conspiracy theories), US Non-Farm employment at the end of Febraury 2009 was 131,314, 000. Non-Farm employment at the end of July 2012 was 132,868,000.  That would be an increase of 1,554,000 jobs since Obama took Office.

The lowest level of employment during the Obama administration was in August 2009, with 129,719,000 jobs.  this is considered the end of the recession and the beginning of the recovery.  Since then, we've added 3,149, 000 jobs.

By the way, when Bush took office in February 2001, US non-Farm employment was 131,097,000.  When he left office, it was 131,314, 000, a net loss of 217,000 jobs

    Nice try DWLoser.....................

With the Democratic National Convention in full swing, a number of party leaders are attempting to boost President Obama's re-election effort by asserting that 4.5 million new jobs have been created during his term.

President Obama himself has recently claimed more job growth in the past 29 months than President George W. Bush created"during the entire seven years before this crisis."

"Despite incredible odds and united Republican opposition, our president took action, and now we've seen 4.5 million new jobs," San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro said in his keynote address at the DNC on Tuesday night.

That statistic was echoed by virtually all of Tuesday night's speakers, including First Lady Michelle Obama, Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who previously served as Obama's chief of staff.

However, CNN fact-checked that claim and found it to be "not the whole picture." Instead, CNN found that there has been a net increase of just 300,000 non-farm payroll jobs since Obama took office. And if you count government jobs, there are actually 400,000 fewer people working today than in January 2009.

This is the perfect illustration of right-wing hipocrisy.  You've been railing against public spending since the day Obama took office (not before) and now you're blaming him for the loss of public sector jobs.  It amazes me that so many people in this country have so little integrity.

The moral outrage is that he took advantage of an intern in the Oval Office, if a CEO did that he'd be fired and there would have been a lawsuit and or charges. He lied about it so it was a big deal to him; do you think he would have been susceptible to blackmail in order to keep it quiet?

I really could careless about his unfaithfulness; that's between him and Hillary.

Re: Why lie about a Marathon time?

"The moral outrage is that he took advantage of an intern in the Oval Office"

Which one? I mean..do we know he took advantage of her? You do realize that some women really have a thing for men in power. I didn't pay close attention to the minute details of how the BJ came to be, except it happened while he was on the phone with France. Which cracked me up. Take that, socialists! (Besides I think Ken Starr had them stuffed under his mattress so I couldn't have anyway.)

So yeah, it's bad that he lied to congress. But I see it as a sort of largely mitigated misconduct.

The same way as if you walk up to my wife and punch her in the face, I will be justfied in retaliating, but will have committed a largely mitigated wrong if I go too far and smack him full-force with a baseball bat. So I could end up with an A&B conviction for excessive force in self-defense, depending on how badly the bat hurt him.

Is lying to congress about a BJ you shouldn't ever have been asked about, but were only asked about because of a dishonest adulterer's campaign for political crimes a "High Crime and Misdemeanor"?

There's not much law on the issue, I say no. So did congress.

So Clinton's lie is rather different than the barrage of lies in Ryan's speech.

As I said: I don't care too much about the marathon time, but I find it curious. As a runner, it's just not something you get confused about having done.

Similarly, I couldn't accidentally say I won a case before SCOTUS when in fact it was a state appeals court...

Just like Greg wouldn't go on and on about how he played this awesome live show with Stevie Ray Vaughn when in fact he played a show with some other guy who was not quite that stellar.....

Gee, WDYWN, the facts are Congress put him on trial for impeachment, but he was NOT impeached. Do not even have to give a site since if he was impeached, he would not have filled out his second 4 year term as President.

Another historical fact, there was another president who was put on trial for impeachment. For those interested in the facts, a quick GOOGLE search will provide this answer.

As for Ryan's speech, of course is was packed full of lies. I am glad I have a broken leg instead of a heart condition since is was so bad when even FOX picked it apart that might have been too much for me.

    cricket,

Thanks for your kind thoughts. Also, thank you for telling me posters cannot resond to messages until they restore the friends list. Imagine my surprise on finding another glitch in this new in-house software system.

I would have tried it out with my husband but he is not posting right now. His mother finally passed and was buried last week. I know he will be fine but it is going to take some time. I made him take me to vote yesterday. The fact I am still reliant so much on him is probably a good thing for him.

I would have put these rather personal thoughts in a message but here I know you got them. Pardon any spelling errors. Still getting used to lack of spell check and edit.

    SB,

Very cute. However Paul Ryan does exhibit a rather tenuous relationship with the truth. I mean, when even FOX tears your convention speech apart as completely full of lies and you are a Republican he really seems to have a credibility problem.

As for the huge discrepancy in his real marathon time and his pretend marathon time, this problem with the truth seems to extend to his personal life. I do not believe it has anything to do with the number of years that have passed. My husband ran 6 marathons. When he read the difference in the 2 times he was stunned. The benefit of doubt just does not stretch that far.

Ryan's problem with the truth reads to me as a major character flaw, to say the least. Where it stems from I do not know. But when your own brother calls you out on lying, you have really got a problem, IMO.

Nobody has to explain your question.  As you well know nobody has ever pressed charges against the former President. There is no conviction against him for such a horrible crime. It is an ugly accusation that is not made true by constantly repeating because you do not like the man.
