Because, they perform abortions.  Obviously there's a whole lotta people screaming bloody murder (ouch) at the republican legislature and governor.

Obama and HHS bend over backwards to ensure everyone that Obamacare does NOT use ANY tax dollars to fund abortions except in the case of rape or incest.

Why should a state do what the fed expressly forbids, and why aren't these same people really mad at Obambi?

Tax dollars cannot be used for abortions. It's against the law. So why defund planned parenthood which does a lot of other things besides abortions. Health care, birth control disease prevention cancer screenings. This is what people are angry about.

Tell us again how taxpayer money is not being used to fund abortion.

Federal law would not have mattered so much to those people as long as the state in question was providing funding.

I agree. I would wager that the argument is framed for political purposes to create a specific even villian even though both parties have the practice at some level in most instances as well.

What does that mean, "3% of total number of services".. A meaningless laundry list of "services" supposedly provided.......is talking on the phone a 'service"? Filling out a form ?  "Referrals" ? 'Referrals' is a useless service, you can find what you are looking for using Google...

No doubt "mammograms" is on the "total number of services", even though they provided zero mammograms...

If abortion represents 3% of the services done, and PP performed 333,900 abortions last year, then the 97% represents @33,000,000 services offered.  Yet Planned Parenthood indicates that only 1,800,000 people took advantage of any PP service.  So, either everyone who stops by used FIFTEEN planned parenthood services, or the numbers are BS.

Or put another way, 20% of the people who came to planned parenthood had an abortion, buty magically, it accounts for only 3% of the services.

 

The 3% doesn't pass the smell test.

86% of services are either contraceptive-, STD-, or cancer-related.  Whether some or all of those are provided to the same person is quite beside the point.
