OPINION:  This will only end in the World Court's ICC.  20,000 guilty priests and 2/3 of all bishops (shielded child sexual predators) have to go to free the Church of their shakles.

ICC cannot do anything. It is a voluntary system. Many countries prefer their own laws. There are good reasons for preventing money seeking people from inventing things so that a good payday is coming. The ICC cannot be used for individual he said, he said kind of law actions. No physical evidence of abuse. These do not rise to the level for the court to seek action. The court can only seek action if the host country agrees.

Gee bopope. You really think that before the age of reason and Kings law that the church really needed to have a lawyer? None of the stuff even was illegal in civil court until around 1740. That depended on the country. So you claim law was broken but even Vatican law did not proscribe contact until the 1500's. So what law are you whining about.

Victims of the ages of 16,17,18 are not children. Young-adults perhaps.
Yes this priest abused his power, but these "kids" were old enough to know what was going on.
In a huge number of countries 16 is a standard legal age for consent.

Your Nuremburg BS is so old that the nuremburg tribunal does not exist at all in the legal world. Not to mention, but I will, that it covers none of the allegded actions. These actions were between two individuals. Try as you might that horse is dead and gone, beating a dead horse just makes smaller chunks of horse meat.
Nothing was "hijacked" it is just a treaty that is all done and gone. No criminals were involved. The Vatican state was NEVER as signatory. Nor was it included in the SPECIFIC TERMS OF THE TREATY. Thus no action is availible to the legal status of the treaty.

Nuremburg was an action by treaty of the signing parties. All precedence is attached only to the treaty organizations and only for the term of the treaty. This is common international law. It bears no consequence to any court of any nation at all. Thus no precedence attaches to any case not within the specific terms of the treaty.
