    What is the biggest problem facing the U.S. in the future?

    Is it the economy , lack of jobs , terrorism , etc... ?

    There is a lot of talk about a possible attack on the 10th Anniversary of Sept. 11th. U.S. intelligence is more worried about an attack by a "lone wolf ". Either way , they expect something.

    I think an unbendable constitution has basically handcuffed the country. 

    People care too much about an old bit of parchment thrown together in a different age where circumstances were different. 

    So I would say romantic adherence to that is the biggest problem the USA will face in the future. And the ingrained worship of all things military.

    The USA (and the rest of the industrial nations) are dependant on fossil fuels which are being depleted.  As they are used up they will become increasingly expensive.  And even more of the military budget will be devoted to insuring US energy needs.

    The Middle East is going to hell in a handbasket. Democracy has a way of working against us. A Middle East Tyrant might be afraid that we're going to kill him if he crosses the line , but the general populace has no such illusion. Social Media might end up being our worst enemy.
