    E-mail notification enabled

    Hi everybody,

We have enabled email notification for discussions, represented by the Subscribe button at the top of each thread. When you Subscribe to a discussion, you'll get an email every time somebody posts something to that discussion. We've asked for the feature to be refined a bit so that you can have the option to receive emails only when someone responds specifically to you. I'll keep you posted on that.

Is there no way to email people on the boards without posting your email address on their page?

    Hi rhm!

Thanks for posing this question.  The answer is, at this time, no.   Member-to-member email, in which you'll be able to email another commenter without revealing your email address, is scheduled to be worked on soon.  We should have it by the end of the year, and could have it sooner.

Meanwhile, as you mentioned, people can leave messages for each other on their Profile pages as long as the person you're sending a message to has the box checked to accept messages from anybody instead of just from Friends. The caveat is that any message you leave on someone's Profile page can be seen by everybody -- it's not private.

Again, we hope to have that function up and running soon.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,
    ModeratorJen
