It is an appropriate sentence. She is a 23 yo monster with 5 kids. The kids are better off w/ mom in prison. From the article, it sounds like she also will have a better life in prison.

Maybe attention given to cases like this will make people think twice about throwing the word "abuse" around quite so casually. I'm not holding my breath, but just maybe.
