We went to the library this morning to get a second bag full of books.  Painting and drawing are always fun.  As long as the electricity holds out we can have a dance party.

I put a rain coat on em and send em outside.

C'mon, we're not talking about a blizzard here. It's just rain!

I can't speak for the kids, but I like to spend my rainy days doing unpaid, uncredited research for boston.com. Fun!

I think 75% of the suggestions on that list were made by people w/o kids.

Glassblowing school?? Really? "Hey kids,  it's raining! Let's go blow some glass!"

Re: Rainy day fun with kids?

We go OUT in the rain.  Just this week we went for a walk by the ocean, splashed in puddles, played hide and seek and then the next day we had friends over in the rain and the kids dug in the garden in the mud, transferred water, etc.  You don't always have to avoid the rain.
