Anyone have holiday fun suggestions to share? The one thing I am definitely, absolutely doing this year is visiting the Enchanted Village at Jordan's Furniture. I'm so excited about it! -

FYI - My brother and SIL took their 4 kids yesterday and said it was a zoo! They suggested going when it opens (I believe at 11am) to beat the crowds.
Stoneham Zoo Lights is on our list this year. Has anyone gone before? -

Lemon-we did the Enchanted village last year with DS-a great time. Though we went during the week in the middle of the day to avoid the crowds. It was still busy, but not "wait in line for a hour busy." We plan on doing the same thing this year.
We're planning on driving around to see Christmas Trees, one in the common, harvard square, etc. As long as it's not too cold! DH and I are whimps when it comes to cold weather.
Interested to see what other people have found out there. -

I want to go to the Enchanted Village too! We went to Edaville over the weekend but that was a bit of a bust, DD is too young (1.5). My friend is having Santa to her house later this week so we are going to that. I've been trying to think of some other fun things but a lot are at night which is not DD's best time of day. I am thinking of getting a gingerbread kit (lazy I know) and letting her decorate it, she loves that kind of thing. -

My cousin took her daughter to Zoo Lights this past weekend and it was a hit. This has been a tradition since her daughter was 2 (she's 10 now). -

If you're ever in the route 1 Saugus area, go down the street that Kelly's Roast Beef and Target are on, there is a house there that does an INSANE light display - they have a large front yard and a long driveway and it's amazing. This house even has lights for other holidays as well. We went for Halloween and it was pretty cool. -

Thanks Lemon, you are awesome. It might have been a bah-humbug xmas for us this year but these look like some great suggestions.
I also want to add the Concord, MA lighting of the tree and Holiday Parade on 12/5 from 4:45 to 6:15. Concord Center is always jolly this time of year. Concord Night (shops stay open late and they hold open-houses with goodies and refreshments) is on THursday night, 12/9. -

KT, you're right -- everything seems to be at night. It's true that night is a magical time of lights and Santa visitations, but our daughter goes to bed at 7 so it's not great for us either.

I live near the stone zoo and the zoo lights is cool for kids. My stepdaughter enjoyed it until she was about 7 or 8. We plan to go with friends this year that have a 3 year old! -

Well this is not going anywhere but fun at the house - We got DD an Advent Calendar and that was a huge hit! She loved opening the little door and something fun for her everyday! -

Lemon--I was just on the Jamaicaway way yesterday and they were decorating the "castle". I believe it has a new owner, different from the guy that went nuts for a couple of seasons a few years back. Last year it was pretty tame (in comparison) and yesterday it looked like they were focusing on lighting up the house instead of the displaying all the inflatable goodies. I think that guy prodded a number of houses around him into decorating, so there's usually a bunch of houses to see on that strech of the JWay. (I especially like that the next-door neighbors have a huge Star of David that they keep lit throughout the year!) -

Anyone have tips on craft fairs? I went to one in Harvard Square today -- at the Episcopal church, not the big one (it's in a basement, and I had the giant stroller). It really whet my appetite for crafts.
