posted at 2/5/2010 6:44 AM ESTJust finished charting my 3rd cycle after going off the pill, and I've observed that my luteal phase has been around 10 days each time. I'm concerned that this indicates LPD, but neither my OB/Gyn nor my GP seems to think this will be a problem in TTC.
Will my cycle correct itself? Am I worrying over nothing?

posted at 2/5/2010 8:29 AM ESTIf your luteal phase is too short, it doesn't give a fertilized egg enough time to implant before you get your period. I don't remember the definition of "too short" though. My experience is that GPs and OB/Gyns have a much higher tolerance and wider range of what they consider "normal" compared to reproductive endocrinologists and they often aren't willing to talk about infertility issues until you've been trying a year. I'd say to get a referral to an RE and at least have a consult with one to get a better idea of what's going on.
