    Re: Another new TTC-Status!!!

Congratulations to RHM!  I'm so happy for you. It's like a miracle after all you've been through both emotionally and physically.
So happy to hear OCC has graduated to OB and that Lesal has hit the second trimester too. :)

AFM - I'm lumbering around at 36 1/2 weeks.  My feet are so swollen.  Baby B is still breech so I'm scheduled for a C-section in two weeks - the countdown has begun.  I can't wait to meet my little ones!

Best of luck to all the TTC'ers.  Hang in there and try to stay positive.

    Re: Another new TTC-Status!!!

Blushing, that post is amazing! And thanks for the advice. My DH can't help me with injections because he has a tremor so his hands are unsteady (runs in the men in his family - totally benign).  I might start icing the injection sites when I add the second shot tonight.  I don't find them painful, but with so much Lupron in my system now, the injection sites are all starting to bleed and bruise.  I think icing might help me psychologically - I can try to convince myself that "it's like nothing."  There are going to be nights where I have 3 injections due to the Lupron, and then the gonal-f pen which holds 900 units.  I have a 375 unit dose, so sometimes I'll be starting the dose with the end of one pen, and finishing with the beginning of a new one.  I look like a junkie, but I don't want to switch to stomach injections.  I tried it once and I found that to be painful.  (Mary1800 - sorry! Don't get psyched out listening to me!  It's a hassle but it's still very "do-able" and it's all worth it if it works, right?)  Laughing

    Hi Ladies,

Since you asked blush, Im saying (without saying)  im a regular consistant 29 day cycler and its about day 32 with no AF... I feel like im jinxing myself and AF will show as soon as I click "add your post" lol.

My bbs have been SO sore and I wish at least 3 times a day I could pull a George Costanza and nap under my desk...Smile So I guess time will tell...

Wow misslily you are a trooper!   I am surprised they are having you wait that long.  Do they have you on bedrest?  So exciting!

Flax - that sounds overwhelming.  I feel like a baby having complained about the Gonal F.  Good luck this round.

Mary - sounds like you are moving right along.  I am glad things look good.  Keep us updated.

Kar - congratulations on becoming a pet mom!  Good practice.

Blush - I am glad you had a good vacation.  It's definitely hard sitting out, but like you said you definitely need to address the back.  Especially since you were hurting from walking around I could only imagine what pregnancy could do to it.

Vase - when do you expect AF?  Can you test yet?   Good luck and keep us posted!

    Re: Another new TTC-Status!!!

Hey ladies - home trying to nip my cold in the bud. Seems I have what DH has had the past few days.

lil - totally understand your frustration. You're doing your best and it feels like there are way too many roadblocks in the way. I hope after this month, things start rolling along for you. Better yet, I hope you can repeat my results and tell them to shove it - lol!

to all you ladies just getting off BCP's - I've heard it takes several cycles to get on track so I hope it does for you soon.

ALF - hope you can see the new ob/gyn soon and they can figure this spotting thing out.

flaxen - glad you are on your way! I did the Gonal-F pen with IUI's and I found them to be pretty easy. I'd give the tummy shots another chance. The needle really doesn't go in far and if you give your belly a little pinch where the shot goes in, that should help.

fram - I was never big on caffeine so it's been pretty easy for me to stay away. I'd think a gradual decline in size and half-decaf would make it easier for you. And I second lesal - get that book!

occ - hope the symptoms ease up soon. I can see how it could look like a hurricane in there, too. Smart DH.

mm379 - thanks! I'm honestly surprised how many people have been so congratulatory (and a little freaked out, but trying to take it in stride).

lesal - LOL - from UFO to alien in just two weeks! Tongue out

kar - thanks! So how many DPO are you? Just wondering if your relative's premonition is true. Ugh - just read your update. At least you have your puppy to keep you busy and your mind off AF for a bit.

blush - wow - your grandma is impressive! Glad you had a great trip. Hope the specialist appointment gives you some good answers on your back.

mary - that's a great amount of follies! I'm sure they will give you a low dosage of meds so you don't overstimulate. That's another good reason for them to keep up on your AF scan. They will keep a close eye out on you. I'm sure both approvals will go through well and you'll be on your way.

misslily - can't wait to hear your lo's have arrived. Two weeks will go quickly!

vase - TEST!!! You're 3 days late, feeling tired and nauseous!

    Re: Another new TTC-Status!!!

Mary-  Congrats on your AF testing today and the high count in each ovary.  That's good news!

Kar-  I was off from work today so had some extra time to really get through everyone's updates and think about what I was going to say!  I'm not usually this thorough!  How are things going with the puppy?  What kind of puppy did you get?

Misslilly-  Congrats on having a date for the c-section!  I hope the times goes by quickly for you!  I'm sure you're ready for them to arrive!

Vases-  I agree with Rhm...  If AF is 3 days late and you're usually regular, test and see what happens!  You never know...

Rhm-  Hope you feel better with your cold!

    Yes Vase test!

Flaxen - I had to do twice daily injections two injections each time.  I found that there are some sweet spots around the belly button that I don't feel and some that hurt like crazy.  I totally look bruised and battered after a cycle.  Not to mention what the progesterone would do to my behind!!

Kar - Sorry about AF.  Don't you just love the puppy though?  I would be lose without her.  She totally doesn't care if my eggs are awful. :)

Mary - Send some follicles my way!  That is amazing.  You will do great!

    Hi Ladies,
Thank you for all of your feedback. I was unsure if I should test yet. I will probably test tomorrows FMU. I am actually REALLY nervous to test..

    Hello ladies,

I, like may others have stated, lurk on these boards rarely posting anything.  I have to say congrats to all the expecting ladies.  I mostly came out of hiding to respond to Blushing's post about her back.

Blushing- You may be surprised that your back could actually feel better if you were to get pregnant.  I have 2 herniated discs, have had major back surgery, am in and out of PT every year (currently in my second month of PT at Emerson) and my back never felt better during the 9 months of pregnancy.  I couldn't believe how great I felt considering all the pain I deal with on a daily basis.  My therapist said it was because your expanding uterus/waistline prompts you to hold your posture differently by sticking your belly out further.  This opens up the spine, almost like decompression.  After having the baby is another story but those 9 months of pregnancy was a huge relief for my back pain :-)  Good luck to you!

vase, I'm not a big advocate for testing early (I could never do it myself), but you are several days late AND have symptoms. Keeping all my fingers crossed for you tomorrow morning. Smile

    Re: Another new TTC-Status!!!

vase, I don't think FMU makes a big difference....  I tested + 3 days before AF was due and I took it after work.  I think you just need to not drink a ton of water beforehand and to have held it for at least a couple of hours.  I totally understand your hesitation, but I just wanted to say that it might be easier to process the news in the evening when you can talk about it with DH rather than before work, whichever the outcome is.  Testing tonight or waiting a couple more days though is up to you!  good luck.

    Re: Another new TTC-Status!!!

Vases-  I understand your hesitation...  Whether you get a BFP or a BFN, it's always a little scary as you're waiting for the results.  Test when you feel ready.  I like Lesal's advice though.  May be a good idea to test at night when your DH is there so you can discuss the results with him...

MissJB-  Welcome to the TTC board and thank-you so much for your nice post and advice!  I will keep that info in mind.  Feel free to post on here whenever!  The women on here (not sure if there are any men actually!!!  Thatguy hasn't posted in a while!) are super supportive and if someone has a question, someone usually has the answer!

AFM- My back is actually feeling a lot better and I may not have to get the cortisone shots now.  They gave me new, harder exercises at PT yesterday and I did them no problem.  They also gave me the green light for cardio...  I did a 1/2 hour of cardio both yesterday and today pain free!  I'm not out of the woods yet, but feeling great so far!

    Re: Another new TTC-Status!!!

FMU makes a difference if your levels of HCG are very low.  It's more concentrated in FMU so if it's on the cusp of being detectable, it's more likely to be detected then.  Otherwise, you may get a false negative, but not always.

yay!!!!!  congrats, vase!!  when you said you were usually regular but 3 days late, I thought there was a good chance you would see a BFP.  glad you tested last night and were able to let the news settle in a little bit with DH before going to work today.  If I got a BFP in the morning I think my hands would still be shaking when I got to work :)  good luck with everything!
