    April 2014 TTC

How's the new month treating everyone?

I was so excited because yesterday I had a very faint BFP on a pink line test. AF was due yesterday. A few hours after I took the test, AF started. It was barely anything though, so I took a digital this AM and that was a BFN.

I didn't tell my DH about the BFP because I didn't want to get his hopes up, but then last night I felt I had to. He let out a big sigh of disappointment and I got SO mad. He does that every month and it really hurts my feelings so I told him to never ever sigh like that again if he knows what's good for him...lol.

    Bummer! :(

    Sorry Summer.  That's heartbreaking.

I had surgery on my wrist on Friday.  It went well.  Happy to have it over with and get back on our TTC journey.

I hope your recovery is swift and easy! Must be tough though to handle a toddler with a bum wrist :(

I actually had quite a surprise over the weekend. Turns out it wasn't AF- it was just some spotting, and I got an instant BFP yesterday, midday Laughing Turns out digital tests aren't as accurate as dye tests because they require higher hormone levels to register positive. Still in disbelief, because I feel nothing (except exhaustion, but that could be because my DD was up at 4am today crying because she has yet another runny nose...) So, yay I guess! Keeping my fingers crossed :)

Not sure if the forums are working yet but we are on to the next cycle.  Got AF last week and starting the OPK's this week.  Hoping this is our month.  How's everyone else?

clc - looks like it is working now.  Sending you good luck thoughts for this month!  How's your wrist doing?

summer - how are you doing?  feeling ok?

After my chemical pregnancy last we decided that we were going to take a month off from OPKs.  A week and a half ago I decided to take a test and it came back positive.  I wasn't sure if it was residual from the previous month.  I called the doctor and they had me come in for a blood test.  The test came back at 1.22 HGE so had another blood test 48 hours later and it came back at 1.87, the doctor wasn't thrilled with the number.  She explained it could be 1 of 3 things: an ectopic pregnancy, viable pregnancy or another chemical pregnancy.  So I went in for more blood work and my numbers jumped up to 600! Huge sigh of relief!  The doctor wants me to go and have more blood taken tomorrow morning which will be a week after I received the 600 result.  If my numbers are at >1500 then I will be scheduled for a US.  Keeping my fingers crossed!

Yay Pugs!  Really hoping it's a big positive number tomorrow.  I'll be thinking of you.  Keep us posted.

Wrist is doing well, thanks for asking.  Finally got the stitches out and have it unwrapped.  It's really not as bad as I thought it would be.  Generally no pain, there are a few things that I do that cause a little discomfort but overall a big improvement.  While I want to be pg I'm happy I was able to take the time to get this taken care of first.  So now that we are back to healthy hopefully we can have a sticky, successful pregnancy!

I did have one friend announce last week that she's due in October.  We had our firsts with in a month of each other so that hurt a little.  I'm happy for them but it made me sad for me and DH.  Hopefully it's our turn soon.

    Summer - awesome news!

Pugs oh I hope so much for you!

Clc I hope you are healing away.

So I had my CD3 US on Saturday and only have 6 follicles which was unexpected to me, I'm 32.  I am so predictable in my cycle that I didn't think I'd have anything wrong there.  So that's another wrench in the plans I guess.  I'm doing all of this to avoid passing on a genetic disorder that I carry, via PGD/IVF. The disease has a 1 in 2 chance of affecting an egg - though it's much more serious for boys.  So now I'm afraid my chances of this working is slim to none.  I don't meet with the specialist again until June, so I have to now sit tight I guess.

Anyone have any experience with this?  Sigh - I'm feeling so low right now.

fackin - I haven't had any experience with what you are going through.  But I wanted to extend my sympathy. You never know what the doctor is going to say in June.  There could be a way to get around this.  Hopefully you have someone you can talk to.  Either way we are here for you if you just need to type everything out!

Thank you for the well wishes!  My numbers came back at 8110!  Great news.  US scheduled for Monday.  So excited!

Yay Pugs.  So happy for you!  Sticky thoughts!

Fakin - sorry to hear you're down.  I hope you get the answers you need.  Is 6 follicles low?  Sorry I don't know a lot about it.  I thought that sounded great but I guess not.  Best of luck and we are here for you.

I've been away for a few days for work but headed home this afternoon.  Planning to start with the OPK's tomorrow and hopefully O'ing mid next week. Looking forward to starting fresh!
