    March TTC 2014

I thought for sure that I wasnt pregnant! I took those tests (about 5, lol) that came with the ovulation test strips and they were all negative.  My AF was suppose to arrive last Friday and never came.  I had one of the CVS brand pregnancy test so I took it and it was positive!  DH and I are so excited but also being cautious.  And not telling anyone yet, except for me sister.

How is everyone else doing this month?

Yay Pugs!  Wishing you sticky thoughts.

I'm perplexed, seems like my mc threw off my cycles.  The past two have been short (well short for me, they are 28-30 days rather than 40-42 days).  I'm going to start the OPK's again once AF is done because I'm not sure when or if I'm ovulating now.

    Re: March TTC 2014

    Congrats pugs!

My cycles have been consistent so far- going on 4 months off BC. I've been super sick for 2 weeks with bronchitis and sinusitis so I haven't been using my OPK strips, but according to the to the site I use to track, my fertile week is next week. Still hemming and hawing if I want to use the strips for the next week or just wing it. Being so sick, it's hard to think about much else especially THAT...

clc - that seems better now you dont have to wait as long :) The OPK's worked well for me, thanks for your recommendation!  It was the pregnancies tests that didnt!

summer - sorry you've been sick, get well soon!  Hard to think of anything extra when not feeling well.

Sorry to hear that Pugs.  What did they say?  Has the bleeding stopped?  Hope you're doing better.

Seems like I'm out for this month too.  I'm having wrist surgery on April 4th to remove a cyst.  They can't do it if I'm pg and warned that it could get more painful if I have it while pg so we are going to wait another month to get this over with.  The DR commented that this could be a result of my pregnancy in December.  Apparently cysts are a common side effect of pregnancy and they seem to have happened at the same time.  Anyway, looking forward to tryin towards the end of April!

clc - yes, the bleeding stopped.  They said it was a chemical pregnancy.  I had to get a Rhogam shot, I dont remember it hurting that much last time! Ouch!  Im doing better.  As you know, its so hard to hear but something wasnt right...I have a doctors appt tomorrow morning.  I will see what the doctor says regarding trying again.

Wow, clc.  I had never heard of that before.  I have heard of getting carpo tunnel when pg so I guess it does make sense.  Good Luck with your surgery! I hope you will have a speedy recovery so you start trying in a month!  (sounds sooner the end of April :))

Pugs~ I am so sorry.... I have been there :(

I had to have an endometrial biopsy last week due to a thickened uterine lining. The first sample she pulled out a pulyp. She went back for another sample but didn't get much. She put me on progesterone and scheduled me for an ultrasound in April to take a look. She said because of my PCOS the estrogen levels created polyps in there and that may be the reason my lining was a little thick. She also said she doesn't think my eggs are maturing enough for me to ovulate. Which is strange because I had a chemical pregnancy in October so an egg must have been released. I don't know. I am hoping the progesterone will help with the chemical embalance and hopefully they don't find anything serious on the ultrasound.

Good luck on BFP's this month ladies!

It's proving to be a rough month for the TTC crowd! I hope everyone is on a better track soon. Maybe enjoying spring (once it actually gets here) will help.

    I'm entering the 2WW, myself.

Pugs sorry to hear that.  I hope you get the all clear to start trying again as soon as you're ready.  Chemical or not it's still a loss.  Take time to mourn if you need it.

Best of luck Kat.  Hopefully the meds work!

    Good luck Summer!

I've got to be honest, this TTC stuff is getting to me.  On Saturday I found myself irrationally mad at a random girl in the grocery store because she was pregnant.  It sounds silly but I was so jealous.  Hopefully after surgery next week we can start trying again and finally have a sticky pregnancy.

I feel your pain. I get jealous of people with newborns, young babies, pregnant women, etc. Then I remind myself that I have one amazing child and for that I am grateful, but I still want another one!

Plus the fact I'm going onto month 4/5, I get worried that I won't be able to get pregnant again and that worries me. I know each pregnancy is different, but with DD it only took us 2 months so 4 months is seeming like a super long time...

Did anyone see that article about stress and infertility? I didn't read it, but from what I gather it doesn't seem like new information!

Just sending positive thoughts to all of you ladies!

I'm not TTC, and unfortunately, conversation is tabled for the moment with my husband.  He really doesn't want to consider a third right now (kids are 19 months and 3.5), which makes me sad, because I would really like to have 3, but if we're not both in, it means we're out.  We'll see if we can revisit the conversation in the summer or early fall.  Love, love, love my kids, but I always imagined myself with 3!

In the meantime, I hope all of you have success soon!

Pugs - so sorry about everything.

Good luck everyone else, I'm cheering you on.

I post here rather infrequently and am mostly a lurker - but I'm now wondering down the ttc road myself.  I carry a genetic disease that's pretty serious, so I'm in the process of meeting with genetic specialists, having my DNA sequenced and meeting with a PGD specialist.  Not sure how long all of the prep will take, but it's kind of crazy to actually be on the road.

Anyone have experience with this?  I'm currently trying to figure out if my insurance will cover everything (there's a chance it may, or at least the majority of it) because of the risk factors involved with me passing on the disease, so we shall see.

I have limited experience sort of related to this. I was born with a minor congenital heart defect, and my SIL (husband's sister) was born with a more serious one that required surgery, so I was sent to a MFM specialist when I was pregnant. Part of that included briefly meeting with a genetic counselor to determine how likely it was that our child would have a defect.

Everything was covered by my insurance including the 2 trips to Tuft's Floating Hospital for fetal echocardiograms.

    Good luck!

Thanks for making me realize I'm not alone Summer. It took me 9 months of TTC to get pregnant with DS so it makes sense that it would take me awhile again but I'm still getting discouraged.  We're going on to month 9 of TTC this time around but I had a MC in January so not sure how that plays into my TTC timeline. I have my wrist surgery this Friday and hopefully we can get back to TTC after that.

Wishing all of us a wonderful spring full of sticky BFPs!

Kat - wishing you good luck with the new meds...

clc and summer - Im in the same boat as you girls...I am finding out that so many friends are pregnancy and I am happy for them.  BUT it is so annoying and hurts my feelings because Im not!

Fakinbacon - I havent had any experience with your situation but if you call your insurance company they should be able to tell you.

I had a doctor a appointment last week and they referred me to Boston IVF.  I cant believe it!  I never thought with my second baby I would have to go through this or start testing to see what is going on with me.  So I called and made an appointment and then called my insurance company to make sure it was covered and my company has opted out of any inferitily treatments!  So that was a punch in the stomach.  We lucked out because DH just started a new job so we are going on his insurance because they cover infertitly treatments luckily.

Has anyone used Boston IVF or any other places like this?
