    Hiring off Craigslist? A no-no or go-go?

I am about to have my kitchen renovated and am looking for a reliable, quality contractor to do a top notch job.  I have heard different stories about using people from Craigslist.  Some say you can get a good job at a great price while others say its a crapshoot and you could end up getting a thief inside your home with no skill at all. Does anyone know of a reputable contractor in the Watertown/Waltham area?  Thanks in advance

it is posible, but you want to make sure the contractor is licensed, has insurance and you get and contact several references....  Depending on how big the project is you should get a permit  (I know some people try to skip the permit, but it will have another set of eyes on the job)
