“Hardest thing to find, goal scorers,’’THANKS CHIA!!

Ex-Bruin Dave Poulin, now an assistant GM in Toronto, was in the Garden Thursday to scout the Bruins and Devils. He is eager to see ex-Bruin Phil Kessel in the Leafs lineup. “Hardest thing to find, goal scorers,’’ noted Poulin. “And the kind of goals he scores, because they look easy, really demoralize an opponent. Brett Hull was that way, too. You’d work your rear end off for a goal, and then the next shift, he’d rush down the other end and bury one, five-hole. That kind of thing just kills you.’’

Not defending KPD here, but please. David Poulin works for the Leafs. What do you think he's going to say? "We stink, and we hope to God Kessel's going to help us, or we're giving up the first choice in the draft to the Bruins. My God, Burke's an idiot."?

And Dupont may think he has an influence on the Bruins' decisions, but I can assure you that Chiarelli doesn't consult with him before making a move. Kessel had an astounding offer from the Leafs and the Bruins could not match it. Nor should they have. They made the correct move.

The only problem I have with Dupont in this instance - and I loathe the guy - is in quoting a guy who's obviously going to parrot the company line. That's newsworthy?

So by saying that you are defending him, just like every other facet of the Bruins organization. You are an apologist plain and simple. The Bruins can do no wrong in your eyes.

Kessel did not want to stay in Boston because of JC and PC had no choice but to trade him. PC got a good return for Kess but the mistake he made was that he hoped that the current team players could replace the scoring and speed Kess left behind. He is very wrong and instead of messing with the D he should have got a Kess replacement. The Bruins will have to get a sniper and the sooner the better, the good news is the Bruins have the tools to do it. PC will look at teams trying to unload cap and get something there like the Hawks will have to unload cap when Hossa comes back and Patrick Sharps name comes up in trade talk to get space. PC should take advantage of these types of situations to get his scorer with some of the picks he has in the bank. We will have to see what happens in the future but something will happen as soon as PC gets the right deal.

Another wasted draft pick. You finally get a top 10 pick after the Thornton trade debacle and you have another highly skilled player who wants no part of the Bruins organization.

What is Brad Boyes up to these days? Think we could trade Wideman for him?

Wideman is certainly struggling.  He made a number of terrible passes yesterday vs NYR.  Total give-aways.  But it appears that management wants to keep him playing and help him correct.

Everyone posting in these forums wants to see Boychuck play.  The way to do that would be to put Hunwick up front. He could replace Bitz right now.
