You are over reacting at best.
In a deep team, players are brought along slow. Colburne was going back to college and everyone knew it. Hamill has damned
good vision, and passes well. He's also been solid defensively. He's not going to be Bobby Ryan or TJ Oshie but he could equal Krejci which is no bad thing.
And who do you expect the current crop to be pushing out of their roster spots?
Fata: Career AHL guy.
McQuaid: Good defensively, good fighter... poor mans Stuart.
Marchand: Poor mans Kobasew, at best.
Arniel: See your valid
knocks on Hamill and my defenses.
Sauve: Barely 19, has some wheels, but can't be assigned to the AHL so it's back to juniors.
Alexanderov: This kid's the real deal, expect him to be a cross between the best of Ference and Wideman. He's still under contract to his Russian team. I expect that when the regular season starts next year, he'll be a part of the lineup.
For the 2008 draft only 12
guys have even played 1
NHL game so far. 12. That's not even a full roster out of 210 guys. Given the total lack of depth to the 2009 draft, I suspect the number who play in the NHL this year could be half
of that and with a lower cumulative game total. The 2007 draft has seen 22 guys make it to the NHL for even one
game so far.
Had they been available then, three years ago Sauve, Arniel & Hamill are probably on the team opening night, today there is no
need to risk injuring them when they haven't adjusted to the NHL speed or finished growing yet.

[QUOTE]what a sorry excuse for a management team we have! we just got 3 draft picks for Kessel which will probably amount to nothing since they have NO CLUE how to draft.. Mike Oconnell and company drafted better (and that is not saying much) than these clowns.. Hamill- too small? hell- did they not know this at draft time? Jumbo Joe Colburne is not panning out.. so many drafts so few real players.. its called Bruins
