Yeah missing Malkin & Gonchar out of the lineup for stretches doesn't count right. Only Bruins injuries count for the apologists. -

Penguins
First 9 games = 14 pts (78%)
3 games with no Gonchar = 4 pts (67%)
5 games with neither = 4 pts (40%)
They certainly are hurting, but some of that loss in point-earning is simply coming down from a difficult to maintain height, and part is playing some good teams (LA and SJ for the last two losses).
Boston
First 7 = 6 pts (43%)
8 without Savard = 8 pts (50%)
It seems the rest of the team has managed to pick up its play to make up for his absence, even if the results are still mediocre. If Savard returns and plays as he did before being hurt, the Bruins should (finally!) get above 0.500.
That both Pittsburgh and Washington have had their point earning rate drop (partly from injuries) has allowed the Bruins to not fall too far behind.
Once all the healthy bodies come back, I would expect Washington and Pittsburgh to begin pulling away again, but not as quickly. The Bruins should have a reasonable chance at getting back in the playoff picture before the Winter Classic. -

hmmmmm, and what was your prediction about the buffalo game?
ohhhhhhhhhhhh thats right, Miller didn't play, it would have been 7-0 Sabres if Miller had played right?
Honestly, I'm confused by you, if you could have it your way, would you rather the bruins win tomorrow night, or lose tomorrow night? -

Interesting post DrCC....the numbers don't lie!!! Who in the F$%K is "imafan" for anyway???? Is he a troll? Is he a Bruins fan? Is he from outer space? Is he 8years old? Is it a mole from the Boston Globe... posting to get a reaction from the rest of us just to keep the message board up and running??? I just don't get what he is all about...it is a laugh reading his doom and gloom post though!! Bring it on "imafan" and you should read some of the posters on here, you might learn something about the game of hockey!! -

what im saying with this post, is the bruins are not as in bad shape as people think, at 7-7-2 with the kind of injuries theyve had (key players) they are in decent shape...the return of savy, looch, krej, bitz, allow more balance and frees up krej and bergy, now that the opponent needs to key on savy...also it puts less pressure on the other guys..who can just play as apposed to having to play beyoned their role..the d is playing great and both goalies are doing well...not being a homer but i fully expect with a full lineup bs will be a tough out -
