    Cap Relief for Long Term Injured Reserve

    Can anyone explain the cap relief we would get from long term injured reserve?  From what I understand, it is not as simple as salary divided by games missed.  Also, what is considered long term?  Would the Bruins get any relief if Krejci were to miss the first month of the season?

    Specifically looking to find the formula used to see how much cap space would be freed up when a player is placed on LTIR, and the difference between LTIR and regular IR
