This non-response on the vicious hit on Savard is probably because of the emotion killing defensive structure that Julien has been known for. You have to give CJ this: the Bruins are very well discipline, and defensive sound this year; but I think the players are not believing the system anymore; lack of goals and spirited play, proves that. All the potential offensive talent under Julien, is being toned down for The Defense First approach. Some kind of response should have happen, hits or fight after the hit on Savard.
You never know, the extra energy from that could have helped with the tying goal.

Well, who do you want as coach? I'm not disagreeing that CJ should have been furious and told his club to send a message. But fired? He was coach of the year and has done a lot for the organization... a different system might not work with these players who are plugged in now to this mentality. -
