I'm with you bro. I'm am so excited but yet i think i'll have my eyes closed when they present the first three ping-pong balls, picks #5,#4, and #3. I pray that the "hockey-gods" are looking down on this historic original-six franchise.

This last week has been just great for the Bruins.  They were able to move up in the standings AND the Leafs clinched 2nd last, all the while forcing Montreal to play the Caps in the first round.  It's been great.  Tuesday will be a big day.  We can only hope that the Bruins are able to steal first overall, however I am more than willing to settle for second.  Third would be devastating.

if we get 2nd i am just as happy if we got 1st

I want either seguin or hall would be very happy to get either one

If we get 3rd it gives PC a chance to mess up because there is no clear cut choice after hall and seguin are gone.

CAN NOT WAIT... I'm letting my 3 yr old stay up late to watch this. This WILL change the B's future for his entire childhood (if it goes our way and we keep a top 2 pick).

    Re: Draft Lottery

It's got a feel like tomorrow is game 7 in the playoffs. I'm real excited but I'm real nervous because I really want to pick one or two. My brother the Leaf fan is in love with Kessel and I asked him if he thinks Phil is worth Hall or Seguin plus another first and a second. He said for sure because Kessel is such a star. I told him that five years from now with our three players from the trade it would likely go down as Toronto's worst trade ever. I sure hope I'm right. The lottery tomorrow night will be a big factor in this trade. But if you told me when we made the trade that we would get a third overall pick plus the two others I would have been happy with that. Now that we have a shot at one of two possible franchise players I would be sooooo disappointed with 3rd overall. Having said that It will still be a trade that we won when it is all said and done. Leaf fans are already crying over the Rask/Raycroft trade.

Sorry guys but the lottery is more like waiting to wake up after surgery than anything else.  Things can't really get better for the Bruins.  If they win, they pick whoever they want; if they pick second, they probably get the player they want anyway, and the only other immediate option is 3rd and a risky choice among a big, physical D with some skills, a Duncan Keith (average size with top end skills), or a wildcard with an extensive injury history and a Forsberg upside.  Just wake me when it's over.

When you get out of recovery for the apparent baseball-sized tumour you have on your brain, re-read what I said.  Boston can't do better than where they sit right now, so they aren't really able to win anything with the lottery, only lose a spot and end up with a choice between a risky choice at forward - which I think everyone knows is the need - or two good but not franchise changing options at D.  So I'm not excited about the lottery, I just want it over with.  If you can't understand the distinction here, and think this means I'm not juiced about the prospect of Hall or Seguin, well, see your specialist because that tumour is putting some nasty pressure on your frontal lobe.

No shite Shurlock, Boston can not do better than first. Burt the difference between first and third should make you feel some emotion. I'm sorry that I hurt your feeling. If you can't get excited about a possible first overall pick than you just can't get excited. I feel sorry for your life partner.

I can't get excited for a lottery.  Is that simple enough for you?  Especially a lottery where we're just hoping not to lose.  My feeling (I only have the one - it's sort of a mix between bemusement and the love of a man for a fine Cuban cigar) will be okay, but wow, you're anti-troll threat-level system needs some calibration if I set it off.  Touchy this time of year?

For me, even with the 3rd choice, I'm happy. It could have been much worse.
Fowler is a solid prospect. He has a Brian Leetch style. And Boston has never replaced Ray Bourque. A good quarterback is essential.

Orr, Park and Bourque have made many 30 goals scorers with ordinary forwards.

let me remind everyone hall or seguin are not at the level of crosby or ovechkin or stamkos  at best 30 goal scores in their 4th-5th year   gotta be patient

trade the pick for iglina and cal pick...thats a proven 40 goal guy playing with savard how great would that be...and a good young forward at the 8 spot...probably 4 or 5th forward....hall is a 30 goal at best guy and thats not to 3-4 yrs down the road...  we already got colbourne who is miles ahead of hall just look at the size we need jerome a proven goal scorer

Not all 30 goal-scorers are the same.  And bruins8 has a vested interest in being cautious about Hall/Seguin.

Speaking of bruins8 - You think Calgary will give you Iggy to move up 7 spots?  Not going to happen.
