I have to admit, besides the B's games (of course), I'm really excited about seeing a Penguins-Caps series.  Although I think the Caps don't have the goaltending to go deep, it would be quite a show.

I realize this is all for fun and I'm all for it, but I have to point out that it will not be possible to have the round 2 matchups you have proposed. As for my own predictions:

    Round 1 East
    Bruins over Habs
Caps over Rangers (thinking this one could be closer than most think)
    Devils over Canes
    Flyers over Pens (in 7)

    Round 1 West
    Sharks over Ducks
    Wings over Jackets (in 6)
    Canucks over Blues
    Flames over Blackhawks

    Round 2 East
    Bruins over Flyers
Caps over Devils (in 5 or less)

    Round 2 West
    Sharks over Flames
    Wings over Canucks

    East Final
    Bruins over Caps (in 6)

    West Final
    Sharks over Wings (in 7)

    Stanley Cup Final
    Bruins over Sharks (in 6)

Maybe it's a homer pick, but so what???

I like the pick, honestly, i think a capitals bruins conference finals would be extremely exciting and competitive. Unfortunately, I just saw the bruins get manhandled by the caps by such a wide margin in the regular season, it made me question if we could beat them in the play-offs.

With that being said, with the way the "third" line is playing Bergeron-Recchi-Kobasew, its definately going to be hard to count out the bruins

Seabrook and Duncan Keith will handle the Sedin Brothers! OK so I can't go with all favorites. Gotta take a chance.  Luongo will probably make me eat my words...

    Round 2
    • Game 1 is going to Boston by 1 goal.
    • Game 2 is going to Carolina by 1 or to Boston in OT.
    • Game 3, Carolina will be exhausted and that one will go to Boston.
    • Game 4: Boston.
    I like bullets.

As for game 5, how should I know? I can't see that far into the future.

Hawks get the split they needed up in Vancoouver. The Canucks have now blown a 3-0 lead game 1 and a 2-0 lead in game 2. Seabrook and Duncan Keith are keeping the Sedin Brothers (only points on the PP) at bay.

2-2 for the Ducks/Wings at the begining of the 2nd period of game 2. Ducks need a spilt as well. Fun watcheing this series well skilled players out there!

Wings in 6! Too much puck control and Osgood socking his ctritics right in the mouth with his blocker! Wings have too much veteran presence they've been there!

Chris Chelios almost got the OT game winner last night Didin't matter though! 47 Years young that would have been something!

That all sounds about right. I really wasn't expecting Detroit to take the first 2 games, but did you see those 2 goal posts? Ohhhhh what a cr@ppy way to lose. And it seemed like Pitts got every penalty called against them, while Detroit got away with a lot.

It's always interesting to comment on a game when you have absolutely no favorite.

I know you're right BU less stress huh, not throwing stuff, Not screaming move your #&%! Princess of Wheels!, not being told by the couple in the next  booth telling us to shhh it's there anniversary!

Detroit does seem to get allot of calls at home. For some reason I don't think this will end in a sweep or 5 games though. Pittsburgh is 2 good to be playing like this.

Detroit has some injuries and now Pittsburgh has some home cookin to do! Wings in six! Osgood what a save last night he's a money goaltender! When they win that's 5 rings for him (Yah I know Hasek had something to do with one of those rings)! Think about that though where does that put Osgood  ?

Re: For hockey fans, some predictions.

I guess this puts Osgood in the category of goaltenders who know how to come through for the team when it counts! You can say that for the whole Detroit team, I suppose. Good for Detroit.

That's right. I don't see Pitts going in 5. Maybe 6. I always thought the hockey gods thing was BS, but at some point, you have to resort to metaphors to explain extreme bad luck. I don't care about Pittrsburgh at all, but it's frustrating to watch.

Well ,as usual, I was wrong again! Marc-André Fleury out duels Osgood I stand corrected! Great Series went the distance and not too many bad calls.
