Is Hall or Seguin a lock?

Suppose you're Peter Chiarelli and think your team is set at center—so well set that Tyler Seguin isn't the best fit, given your current centers and center prospects.

Then suppose Edmonton takes Hall first. Do you then consider swapping picks (and maybe players too) with Florida in a deal that lands Horton in Boston, then take Fowler third?

I think Chiarelli may be doing a bit of posturing in his public statements to drive up the price of the No. 2 pick. And I think he might trade down for immediate help, given how narrow the window of opportunity is for a team to win the Cup.

No.  PC has said we will be getting one of the two.  Basically whoever is left is a Bruin.

If he's trying to drive up the price and settles for Horton, he did nt a very good job. Next friday either Hall or Seguin will be a Bruin.

Theres always that slim chance only because of the wants and needs of other teams. Just an example ok.
What if it was florida that opened PCs eyes with a great offer of,for #2 pick, Horton, Pick 3  pick 33 and there 1st rd pick in 2011. PC knows that at least NYI and TB have there eyes set up Fowler or Gubranson..what are they gonna offer to PC for pick 3 then, even columbus might be in on it, Just imagine after that if it did happen, who would want pick4 or 5 then and what would be offered for it,
Just imagine what all those teams in the top 10 are thinking or more importantly, wanting.
Anyones head spinning now with all the possibilities available to PC?

Unless a team would crazily overpay which would have to include a very productive player for cheap cap dollars and pick 3 or 4, it's not happening.

Seguin will be a Bruin next week.  Book it.

I agree and is as hopeful as any, but we have seen things in the past that makes us suspicious of the future LOL

History is repeating itself for the Bruins this year: first, a series-ending too-many-men-on-the-ice penalty. Next, a 1982 draft shuffle a la Sinden, Minnesota and Brian Bellows/Gord Kluzak.

That would be asking a lot of Chiarelli, seeing as he tried to make ONE trade at the draft last year, and messed that up.
I think the pressure is on them, to show something this year, for the loss of Kessel.
That does not mean more draft picks. I think they need an actual body wearing a Bruin's jersey, scoring actual goals.
That means Seguin/Hall will be putting on that jersey, friday night (my gut says it will be Hall).
