According to another poster, the press release would be an hour after the decision, so there may be time left. What happens if the decision isn't made in time? Will another hearing be scheduled and the whole process re-done? -

I understand that the arbitrator can take up to 48 hours to render a ruling, but is it normal for them to do so? I guess I have never paid close attention to the process before. -

I heard they dropped it off for Wheeler in the corner, he just won't go after it. -

I heard it was $1.1 million + 10 shots from the slot on an empty net. Every puck that goes in is worth $150K in salary.... -

In Response to Re: It's been longer than 48 hours now!:Weei reported that the decision was to be @ 11:00am this morning, but there is still no word released by any of the parties involved. Me thinks there might be something in the works of either a sign and trade or a Bruins walk away or something, This could be the end of Blake as a Bruin. I hope not but could be. maybe a trade to Toronto for Kaberle??

Even if 11 is correct, thats the deadline for the arbitrator to notify the nhl, nhlpa, team and player.
I would assume after that the team and player will have some discussion before going public. -

How do you get all this from an arbitrator using the whole 48 hours?
At any rate, a trade for Kaberle of all people would make ZERO sense. The Bruins don't need him, and he has a cap hit that would be about twice the size of Wheeler's. -

Let the unfounded speculation being!
I bet they're working on a deal to send Wheeler and Hamill to Washington for Semin. -

I heard that they cant disclose the number without first notifying Wheeler. But the problem is that wheeler is completely invisible (except for when he's being called offsides), so they cant find him. -

Was that an inside joke by boston.com to post the signing of a Providence D-man when EVERYONE here is waiting for the ruling on Wheeler?
Wheeler - breakaway - OT - in the playoffs - might as well change the channel, its gonna be a comercial break after the goalie covers it up. -
