Not making excuses, but the roughing on Chara?

I'm not trying to make excuses, the B's were outplayed tonight and had more power plays than the Flyers. The refs called Chara for roughing in the 3rd after a high hit from Hartnell. Chara did respond with a shove to the neck. A few minutes later on the Philly power play Asham gives Wideman a clear punch to the face and no call. The refs ahve not been calling these incidents all series and then call one on Chara just to let Asham slip one in there. Am i the only one that thought that was a bad call considering the way they have called the games this series? -

the asham punch was ridiculous.
when was the last time you saw a 2 minute boarding penalty?
it's at least a double minor. -

Yeah, the officiating in that game sucked for the Bruins. You can't argue that. But it's not what cost them the game. -

the calls are remarkably inconsistent. Since when has blatant interference not been called? and yet Pronger gets away with it every game. At the same time both Chara and Boychuck have to be more responsible with their passes and play. Boychuck often takes a clear center ice faceoff win and scales it down the boards for anicing. Chara , all too often sends errant passes, like for the game winner last night and to kreji when he was injured. I'm really beginning to think that he is big, strong, and not too smart -

Chara could learn alot from Pronger, where's the physical play?
If we can only count on Chara for his horrendous breakout passes and a nice pokecheck here & there, who needs him. -

Exact same observation -- Simple difference -- the cowardly caveman throws his head back like he took a Mike Tyson punch. Wideman just turned and looked at the ref. Unfortunately Wideman needed to spin his head around like the exorcist and fall to the ice like he took a gun shot to the head. No doubt -- refs heavly react to the dramatics. -

You've got to be kidding. Chara single-handedly stopped two pucks from going into the net in that game Friday night. And if you want to know anything about his physical play, just ask somebody who's played against him. He's the most feared/respected defenseman in the NHL. This team is NOWHERE without Chara.
And learn something from Pronger? Like how to be a pylon?

The best shut down d-man in the game period. No other has the finesse, size and power. Is he perfect/No. But who is? Glad he's a BRUIN. -

Yup..gotta agree that the officiating is waay to inconsistent. Chara retaliates a little and gets called then Asham takes the same liberties on Wideman abnd nothing.. ridiculous that these professional officials are that inconsistent with their calls.. Also: Pronger has a damn god point shot that is usually on net. Chara has a cannon but often shoots wide ( perhaps by design for redirects)..but I wouldn't trade Chara for Pronger.. no way..
