Nothing Will Change Until New Ownership

Delaware North is the giant sucking sound heard by Bruins fans. We have seen what can happen when new ownership has a commitment to winning. Robert Kraft was the savior and chief engineer in making the Patriots a dynasty. The Red Sox have two world champion rings after canning wishy-washy ownership and saved Fenway Park as a bonus. The Celtics spent the jack and another banner will hang in the Garden.

The Bruins have Jeremy Jacobs. If you look up "beige" in the dictionary, you'll see a bust of JJ. His true concerns lie with increasing concession sales, not signing a wing with an incredible wrist shot. JJ plays it safe; no risk, no reward besides a dependable cash flow. His Bruins are a long term investment like real estate and he has become a slumlord. The Boston faithful have accepted this as "Jeremy being Jeremy" and that must stop. We need to run this guy out of town on a rail if there is any hope of bringing passion back to the black and gold.

I understand you're new to the forum but it is def a tired subject. With the salary cap now in place, there is no reason to blame the ownership as they have been spending just as much as every other team. We have a good core group of guys in place at this point and should be excited and stop bitching about the same things year after year. The ownership is making an effort. Any true Bruins fan can see that. Running JJ out of town will not make any difference in how this team is made up. Our team of GM's has done a pretty good job and have had the backing of the ownership in every move, even when they overpaid. Let's move on...

When you hire the lowest paid GM in the NHL to rebuild a franchise money is very much an important subject. Jacobs is still nickel and diming at the expense of the team and its fans

Where did you find a list of all the salaries of the gms? If he is, I'd say he deserves a raise. He seems to be doing a good job.

It is well documented and not exactly breaking news, try googling it and it will come up.

Chiarelli was a first time GM and the Bruins third choice after arguing with Shero and Lombardi over salaries.

JJ could care less about the fans or winning the cup, he has shown us all that over the past 10 or so years. The Bruins tradition disappeared with the old garden (MAy it rest in peace!!)

This once proud franchise is now a joke! We can only blame The Jacobs family, it is funny those who blamed Sinden but he could not over ride his boss anytmore than you can over ride yours!

You saw what new ownership did for the Pats and Sox and hey know the Celtics have # 17.

Do you ever think the bruins will win a cup with JJ? NEVER!

It's a scam! The Bruins are a complete waste of time and $$$, and yet you continue to flush your hopes and dreams down the toilet every year.

Death to the Bruins!! Death to the NHL!!

Can you quantify this and how did you learn so?  I only ask, because I have heard they have the lowest concession stand sales p/p than almost all of the other teams. Due mainly to the local "concession" stands around the arena.

I think that sums it up perfectly. Season tickets are expected to go up by almost 75% for everybody across the board in 2010-11 and the Bruins still havent done anything in the playoffs in decades now.

How can anyone say ownership is nickel and diming the team when we've been right up against the cap every year?? Wake up. JJ might be loathesome in many ways but he gave the green light to management to build a winner a long time ago, BEFORE the cap era even. Stop churning out the same tired cliches that applied 15 years ago. Take a look tat the team we have on the ice. It's a true contender that just needs to gel a bit more. Be happy for Pete's sake, we could be Florida Panther's fans...

GM salaries are not disclosed, so you are just making sh*t up. Please just try sticking to facts that you can prove.
Also, no one in their right mind has much use for the Jacob's family. It is just that most of us understand there is nothing to be accomplished by Jacob bashing. He's not going anywhere.
With the team doing well on the ice, I understand that the people who love being negative about anything bruins, are having trouble coming up with new complaints, and must keep bringing up the same tired old garbage. That is their right. Just as it is my right to enjoy watching a good, exciting team. If and when the bruins start to play poorly, I will be there bit*hing and complaining like any true fan does, but until then, why look for things to be miserable about?
