In other news, the NHL annouced several other changes to be implemented for the 2010-11 season:

-- The Capitals and Penguins will play every weekend on NBC, and also every Monday night on Versus.

-- The Penguins will be relocated to the Western Conference so that the teams can meet in the Stanley Cup Finals.

-- To ensure such a meeting, the Capitals and Penguins will start out every playoff series up 1-0. They will also have home ice advantage throughout the playoffs, regardless of record.

-- The Stanley Cup Finals will be renamed HockeyMania.

-- For the Capitals and Penguins, playoff series are best-of-seven. For other teams, best-of-eleven.

-- The Hart Memorial Trophy will be renamed the Crosby-Ovechkin Challenge Cup.

The league was reportedly still working on a method to allow Crosby and Ovechkin to keep playing after they lock out the rest of the players.
