-- The Penguins will be relocated to the Western Conference so that the teams can meet in the Stanley Cup Finals.
-- To ensure such a meeting, the Capitals and Penguins will start out every playoff series up 1-0. They will also have home ice advantage throughout the playoffs, regardless of record.
-- The Stanley Cup Finals will be renamed HockeyMania.
