we scored plenty of goals to win the playoffs against the flyers. Lets blame the goalies . the defense or the coaching But offense wasn't our problem.

Time to move on . They lost as a team and pointing fingers at individuals does what good, other then make a few posters feel they have to justify their past comments .

Actually it was a total meltdown including the OFFENSE.We could only muster one goal [late in the 3rd] in game 6 ,so you can't blame the D and goaltending in that one.

Correct, just lik the season. The D was soild pretty much the entire way. Do not get me wrong, we had some tough spots and the D didn't play or look good but their numbers were solid. We just could not score enough goals to win at times. Look at the 9 games they had their hands full, that could of been the season but it wasn't they bounced back. But still where were the goal then?

    20 goals, seven games.

    Blame the offense all day.

Re: quit blaming the offense for our playoff loss

Why do you have to dish out blame? Does it make you feel better?

The way the Bruins play, everyone plays defense. And the minute the Bruins lost Krejci, they were toast. For one thing, Satan was nothing without him. But it wasn't just the offense - Krejci was critical on defense as well; he's one of the Bruins' best backcheckers (how many times does he break up slot pass attempts?).

If it had just been Krejci, though, the Bruins could probably have soldiered on. But Savard was at half-speed, and Stuart was worse (God love him for pulling an IV port out of his arm and playing). Sobotka was a shell of himself after hurting his shoulder at the end of the Buffalo series (think of how he drove the Sabres crazy with his forechecking). And of course they were without Seidenberg and Sturm (think losing Sturm didn't matter? Look at what happened to the PK without him and Krejci).

Acknowledging injuries isn't an excuse - it's just stating facts. The Blackhawks wouldn't do much if they were without Toews, and had a half-speed Kane. I can't see the Penguins getting through the post-season without Crosby and a half-speed Malkin. The Sabres were handicapped when they lost Vanek. Think the Bruins took advantage of that? Of course they did!

Winning the Stanley Cup takes a whole lot of talent, and a certain amount of luck as well. Very often it's not the very best team that survives, but the healthiest. That's just the nature of the sport.

The blame has to go to suupa choker Rask. What a major dissapointment he turned out to be!!!!!!!

Wino- the only "suppa choker" out here is you.  Your anti-Rask rhetoric is comical.

wow....only took 4 weeks for many to turn on Rask....the guy was god for a while.

Seriously, this team choked as a team, no one can be singled out (well, aside from Savy's too many men on the ice in game 7), they stopped skating as a team, combined with Rask not making the huge stops ,they flopped as a team top to bottom....and now it's time to move on, we have a rare top 2 pick, I truly hope it is worth it.

Couldn't agree anymore ! This and his Julie Ann rants are getting too repetitive for me. Thank God for the ignore button .

Will the 20th Anniversary team of the last Bruins squad to win a second round series be brought out onto the ice for a pre-game celebration?
