Reality: Good, Deep Team--Not a Great Team

They can roll out some nice depth, but they clearly lack a sniper.

They REALLY miss Yelle and Axe on the Penalty Kill.

This is NOT a Cup Contender.  Looks like a 5-seed (3 for winning the Division but 5th best record)

Nice team, but you can't lose by far your top scorer and get nothing in return this season and expect no impact.

We went from a deep great team---to a deep good team.

Agree with most of what you said. But a "good, deep team" doesn't lose games like last night. I mean if it wasn't for that Islanders come back they would be 2-5. They need a scorer, period.

    It's a salary cap league.

There is no such thing as a great team anymore.

You build a team from the goal out. We have a Vezina goalie, a more mobile defense , 4 solid lines. This should be good enough to compete in this league.
