Rumor on Hockeybuzz said something about a San Jose - Boston trade. Anyone hear anything? Who does SJ have that the B's would want? -

Where did you see this? I looked on hockeybuzz.com and didn't find anything about a Sharks-B's trade rumor. -

Are you serious? They just inked Wideman for $3.9 million...ANY trade at this point would be to dump salary. -

Murray posted a big fat 0 in the play-offs. He also got injured in game 7 of that series. Are you guys really that surprised that there's no interest in him? We have to buy him out. -

Yep, bruinscup is right. The 48 hour window given to teams post arbitration settlements would obviously be void if we come to an agreement with Wideman prior to his arbitration date. Does anyone have the specifics on when Wideman's arbitration is scheduled? I know it should be within the next week and a half...right? -

Chiarelli acknowledged that once Wideman signs his extension, the Bruins will need to make a move or two to get under the $56 million cap by opening night. Chiarelli said buyouts -- there will be a three-day quiet period after Wideman signs, then a 48-hour window in which buyouts can take place -- remain an option, as do trades and AHL assignments. -

It doesn't matter if Wideman signs, which it looks like he's about to, Chiarelli can still buy-out anyone he wants. KPD wrote about it in last week's notes column. -

There will be atleast one buyout/drop down to the minors without a doubt.
As for hockeybuzz...how have you not learned to avoid that site yet? Again ill reiterate that atleast 75% of General Managers have acknowledged at some point that them nor anyone in their organization has ever given the slightest nod of information to eklund. He is a poser...making a living off of the interest of hockey rumors when fools who dont know any better constantly give him website hits. Trust me when I say TSN will have any dish of dirt faar ahead of anyone else in the industry. If its not posted there yet...its probably made up. -

The Thornton trade will go down as one of the worst in the history of the NHL when Joe wins his cup. Your talking about arguably one of the top 5 players in the league and he is still young.
Marco Sturm? Your kidding right? worthless Joe? Because he didnt fight or play the body makes him a bad guy? Any real fan of the game should understand the value of Jumbo Joe - obviously San Jose did and look how that worked out for them.
The guy is a big dude with the softest hands in the league. Moronic we traded him away. That was Mike the OC head at his best.
Think if we still had Joe, Bergeron, etc... Murray would be scoring, and Savard wouldn't be diving. -
