    Any trade involving Wideman!

Personally, I love the sound of your proposed Edmonton deal, but I'm not sure the Oilers would take it.  The 1st round pick is really the only valuable part of the trade. (Hamill has been a major disapointment, Wideman is just plain awful, and Sobotka is a solid, but not great player.)  However, if they did take it, it would be a total steal of a trade.

The B's are already hurting in scoring goals so Sturm is out of any deal, besides he has a NTC, Sobotka isnt going anywhere, he is the best energy guy they have. the best I can see you have here would be #2 frolov for wideman. i dont think that they move stuart although he is probably a valuable piece.

You're kidding yourself if you think any body is taking those deals-

"Marco Sturm and Byron Bitz" Oh yeah...San Jose will jump on that one-

JWensink, if it was Sturm and Bitz for Clowe then it would be a reasonably fair deal.  Clowe hasn't proven anything at the NHL level; he's just an average player, like Sturm and Bitz.

Byron Bitz doesn't even make San Jose's roster

But Sturm would.  So basically it would be a Sturm for Clowe swap and therefore a fair deal.

    Darrenryan9....please, take a break.

Read a nice book and finish it in time for the playoffs: That is when the Bruins will start playing and do some damage - with practically the same line-up with very minor changes, and all the wounded back at 100%.

Relax! We are not doing anything the season except to get ready for the playoffs. Let's not let all the horses out of the paddock.

I'd love to believe you Wheats, but this team is just not living up to expectations and our injuries are not getting better... they're getting worse! Wideman MUST go and Ryder should be close behind. I think Chara, Morris, Stuart and Boychuk are keepers on D with Savard, Bergeron, Krecji and Wheeler our Forwards... shop all the rest and build for next season!

You aren't getting Dion without Lucic or Bergeron plus a 1st and 2nd....dion is an elite talent and is 24...forget that idea...its not gonna happen.  And all could happen...but not likely....no one wants Ryder or Sturm or Wideman....

wideman for frolov would be great.

wideman for a can of blue paint would also be good.

I would be happy with, Wideman for anything that does not pick its nose on my 50" HDTV...

How about Wideman for one of those portable skate sharpeners? Are we asking for too much?

Re: some realistic Bruin trades at the deadline

A lot of good teams are in the same boat, Calgary and Columbus and St-Louis.  They are our realistic trade partners.  St-Louis has a ton of older fwd's that can be had for a prospect like Hamill or a 2nd rounder.  Maybe Calgary would consider trading Robyn Reghr for a fwd like Michael Ryder and a pick.

Don't worry - Chia is on the phone.
