There's this funny thing called "organizational planning" where you have a sense of what your whole organization needs to be successful.  It means you don't just respond to the most urgent need; sometimes you address the bottom levels of the organization first to make sure you have fewer crises to address later on.

Crazy right?  I mean, better to have our GM ignore other useful moves while running around like a horn dog teenager with an expired rubber in his pocket asking every girl with braces to join him in the drama room - all so people can check off "scoring winger" on their scavenger hunt checklist, because after all, that's the only thing that this team could possibly need.

Seidenberg is a minor league D?

"organizational planning" has brought us Paille and Recchi on the FIRST LINE w/Savard.

It is not an exaggeration to say that this team, as constructed, may be the WORST SCORING team ever in the NHL. Look at the numbers.

"organizational planning" is PCs way of saying he doesn't have the Brains or guts to get this team what it needs short and long term!

To say Chiarelli is an idiot is an insult to idiots.

this team is 100% healthy and can't put up even a first line

Re: Sounds like Wolski and Mueller are gone.

Hardly.  What brought us Paille and Recchi on the first line with Savard is a combination of bad organizational management before the current group came in - they had Bergeron, Sturm, Thomas, and a prospect named Krejci.  That's it.  They had an overpriced, underachieving D full of former high draft picks that had to go, and not a second high-value prospect at any position.  Organizational planning means that, despite their struggles this year, the Bruins have a legit 1A centre locked up at a reasonable cap hit for several years, a legit #1 G prospect, two quality two-way centres under 26, each of whom has a 70+ point season on his resume.  It's brought in McQuaid and Boychuk through minor-league trades, it means prospects distributed across the minors, college, and juniors so there's room for multiple players to develop in prominent roles, and it's brought a slew of high-value draft picks to continue to build with youth.

On the other hand, panicking about an obvious need led to the deal for Manny Fernandez, the signing of Michael Ryder, and pretty much most of the bad contracct money.

100% healthy?  Pay attention, or don't bother.

Ponikarovsky, Wolski gone, but be patient. Bruins are in the running for soon-to-be 38-year-old Keith Tkachuk. Recchi, Tkachuk, Satan, there's a top line.

Mike O'Connell brought us the core young talent on this team.

STILL not a single Chia Draft Pick on the roster.

Amazing,  does Peter C have dirt on the Jacobs or what??!
