Taylor Hall has competition for the #1 ranking

As per Bob McKenzie at TSN......... http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=298731
    ----------------------------------

It will be the most oft-asked question leading up to the 2010 NHL Entry Draft - Taylor or Tyler?

NHL Central Scouting weighed in with its early answer by ranking Plymouth centre Tyler Seguin No. 1, ahead of Windsor winger Taylor Hall, on CSB's preliminary rankings for the Ontario Hockey League.

Hall was the pre-season consensus No. 1, according to a survey of NHL scouts by TSN, with seven of 10 ranking him first. Seguin was No. 3 on that list, behind Hall's Windsor teammate, defenceman Cam Fowler.

NHL's CSB ranking of Seguin ahead of Hall is by no means outrageous. Seguin has been spectacular, starting with the Under-18 tournament in August and carrying over to the OHL season. Hall leads all OHL scorers with 21 goals and 45 points in 25 games for the first-place Spitfires. Seguin has two fewer goals, 19, and nine fewer points, 36, but has played in seven fewer games with fifth-place Plymouth than Hall.

There is no reason to believe the two dynamic offensive talents won't have a see-saw battle all season long. Scouts concede there's not a lot to choose between the two. In light of CSB's choice of Seguin, TSN conducted a flash survey of seven NHL scouts, asking the simple question: Taylor or Tyler?

Five ranked Hall No. 1; two opted for Seguin, but they said they could easily change their minds over the next two weeks as scouts from all teams scramble to size them up.

Hall looks like he'll be a lock on wing to play for Team Canada at the World Junior Championship and Seguin is a strong candidate to win a spot in the middle, although there will be stiffer competition in the centre slot than on the wing.

Regardless, the question is bound to be asked over and over and over again - Taylor or Tyler?

snipers and goal scorers are different things, if your talking pure sniper, kovalchuk, vanek, heatley, and i think you gotta put kovalev in that category, he can score from anywhere in the offensive zone

This is going to be swwweeeet!  We will have a top pick, it's almost 100%.

Question, how can the Leafs improve next year?  From what I understand, it looks to me like there's not much room for them to improve, if any.  They look to have about 20 mil of cap space for next year with 10 UFA's.  I mean, how is this team going to get any better?  They might even get worse.

I read today where Cam Fowler the big defenseman from Windsor is thought to be the second coming of Denis Potvin. There are a number of scouts who believe between now and the mid-terms, he could advance to number one. Either way, the first three choices are all star quality.

Isn't Kovalev retired?  I mean, yeah, he's getting $5M a year from the Senioritas, but he's basically retired.

I think the Bruins should keep the picks to get Tyler or Taylor or Cam Fowler.
We already have our goalies signed,Savard is on the verge of being a Bruin,Lucic and Krejci are signed. Stuart should be the next candidate not a bad start for next season. trading Kessel for two first round picks and 2nd was a great chest move from PC especially come draft day we will be in the checkmate position all teams will be knocking on PC's door.

whats missing in this article, is the fact that this is going to be a very very very deep draft and has tons of talent, we are in great shape to have a long run as a playoff team

also the 4th ranked player is a russian who some compare to Ovechkin, of course there probably wont ever be another Ovechkin but this kid has great offensive skills with alittle grit to his game.....so thats 4 options in my mind that we could go after.....

Boston will get their first rd pick and toronto's 1st rd. and then two second rd. picks not a bad start for some new young blood. Now we can concentrate on scorers and d men. Along as the Bruins don't give away our picks that will be a disaster we have some talent coming our way and we need to check up on draftees later.

As long as we get either Seguin, Hall, or Fowler, we are GOLDEN. Seguin and Hall will be the top goal scorers in this league and Fowler will be a Norris defenseman.

If we draft Seguin he will be SEGUIN THE BRUIN!!!!!!
