Wow. That is quite a list of achievements. Will Tim's 37 year old legs be up to the challenge?  Will your overly high expectations be up to the major letdown?

Tim Thomas will not only find a cure for cancer....he will solve the global warming issue....fix the economy single handedly....win the world series of poker....scare jacobs into selling the team (to Tim Thomas for 3 million dollars)....but most impressively he will bang shakira and blake lively within days of each other

but in all seriousness, lets hope he can hold sh*t down between the pipes

you left out the 5 straight stanley cups until he's 40. then we can laugh at the phony canadiens teams that only won because they could get the best french canadiens players.

All world Timmy Thomas single handedly carries the team.

But when you bring up the Carolina series from last spring and the game 7 OT goal, the argument immediately switches to it being a TEAM loss and failure combined with injuries.

This is the same old double standard regarding Thomas.

Try not to forget that while the text all looks (mostly) the same, not all posts are made by the same other person.  I'm not saying that there definately aren't people who have taken the stance you describe, but there is a pretty good chance your perception of its prevalence is likely due to different people saying the two different parts.

It's early, but Thomas has his work cut out for him if he is to do all those things this season.  And there would be no shame for Thomas to back up a goalie like Ryan Miller at the Olympics.
