    TSN- Boston Edmonton trade...

    Matt Marquardt to Edmonton
    Cody Wild to Boston.
Cody Wild is 6'1" 210 lbs, 23 years old and from Rhode Island. D-man who is faily mobile... might be leading to something. Thoughts?

    Cody Wild from Hockey's Future.

    Talent Analysis

Wild is a very smart defenseman who is blessed with natural offensive ability. He is an excellent skater with speed and is very active. One of Wild’s greatest attributes is his decision-making capability. He finds and utilizes open spaces on the ice quite effectively and knows when to jump into plays. Wild has great hands and the ability to get his shots to the net. He works and competes hard as well.

On the other end of the spectrum, Wild’s defensive play is an area of weakness and a focus for the Oilers as they try and turn him into a NHL player. The biggest weakness Wild has in his decision making in regards to when to turn on the offensive switch and when to play defence.

    Same old song and dance............

Isn't this the year the B's had all the amunition to pull off a big deal?  Its funny how other GM's can make deals and we can't.  I'm not foolish, I know there isn't a heck of a lot out there.....but cmon you gotta do something.  They need someone to play with Savard, a first liner, and now we are just hoping to get a top 9 forward???  Conservative to a fault!
